Just heard Geraldine Ferraro on Bill O'puke's radio show
First saying, well, this was a paid speech I was giving,

Then, sticking by what she said....

Bill O'loofa said "you know they are going to attack you, right?" and also said if she gets attacked for what she said, just let him know...

:puke: :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke:

She is saying that all of the blacks who are supporting Obama are doing so because they have low integrity and have been pushed into an unwilling endorsement. Those that support Clinton are doing so because they are high minded and have made an objective decision based on experience.

Here she clearly says that the only reason that Obama is a candidate is because he is black. Had he not been black we would have never heard of him.

When you think of Liberman and her as actually been chosen for VP positions on democratic tickets you have to wonder what would have happened if they had gotten elected.

support him? I imagine she'll be calling us stupid, white trash or something.

She's really damaging herself with this. She just keeps looking worse and worse.

10. Holy Crap!
The DLC nuts have lost their minds. First Bill appearing on wingnut programs now this one? These people are insane. And to think I voted for her and Mondale. :puke:

At least I am consoled that we are now coming up on the darkest period of their existence as they thrash around like possesed animals while the devil calls in his chips. It will eventually start going uphill from here on as they self-destruct.

11. I guess that tells us who the target audience for those comments was.
Trying to stir up some support from racist, white Republicans in MS, Geraldine?

What a proud Democrat you are. :sarcasm:

12. Also, the sticking by her comment bit was interesting as well...
Clearly she's talked to the campaign about this since the dust-up started yesterday. They have apparently decided to support such comments and told her to run with them. Once again, Hillary's campaign stands by race baiting.

They're holding a conference call to address it now, per MSNBC.

24. No, it was a phone interview in advance of her speech

<snip>
Speaking by phone from her New York law office, the 72-year-old former Democratic congresswoman outlined the themes that will dominate her talk. She also offered pointed observations

Former Democratic vice presidential candidate Geraldine Ferraro will speak in Torrance Sunday. regarding the Barack Obama juggernaut and what she sees as a sexist media bias against the candidate of her choice.

<snip>
"If Obama was a white man, he would not be in this position," she continued. "And if he was a woman (of any color) he would not be in this position. He happens to be very lucky to be who he is. And the country is caught up in the concept." Ferraro does not buy the notion of Obama as the great reconciler.

"I was reading an article that said young Republicans are out there campaigning for Obama because they believe he's going to be able to put an end to partisanship," Ferraro said, clearly annoyed. "Dear God! Anyone that has worked in the Congress knows that for over 200 years this country has had partisanship - that's the way our country is."

As our conversation came to an end, Ferraro said of her upcoming talk in Torrance, "It's going to be very up to date. It's going to be my version of the inside story."

35. Sounds like she did lie
Unless the reporter lied and never really talked to her.

If she did mention this during that speech I wonder what else she said.

17. "if she gets attacked for what she said, just let him know."
I am amused that O'loofah thinks that he has more credibility with Dem primary voters than our 1984 VP candidate, and is thus able to offer her backup

19. You know, I try to stay away from guilt by association,
But damn, the Clinton campaign is getting to be ridiculous! Ferraro hobnobbing with O'Reilly, Limbaugh fundraising for Hillary, Hillary herself praising McCain, on and on, this is really getting to be desperate and insane on the part of the Clinton campaign.

21. This is so stupid
You don't become the front-runner, winning the most states and votes by getting votes from just one segment of the population. And way to insult those voters. So now I have no integrity?! I am not African-American, I have voted in every election since I turned 18 (am now 30ish), am quite informed (have a degree in Political Science), and have more integrity in my little toe than Ms. Ferraro could ever hope for. How shameful!
