Hillary's weird religion. Tied to death squad members, former NAZI's and
right wing war mongers, I'd take Obama's church over Hill's bizarre 'partners in Christ' any day

When Clinton first came to Washington in 1993, one of her first steps was to join a Bible study group. For the next eight years, she regularly met with a Christian "cell" whose members included Susan Baker, wife of Bush consigliere James Baker; Joanne Kemp, wife of conservative icon Jack Kemp; Eileen Bakke, wife of Dennis Bakke, a leader in the anti-union Christian management movement; and Grace Nelson, the wife of Senator Bill Nelson, a conservative Florida Democrat.

Coe's friends include former Attorney General John Ashcroft, Reaganite Edwin Meese III, and ultraconservative Rep. Joe Pitts (R-Pa.). Under Coe's guidance, Meese has hosted weekly prayer breakfasts for politicians, businesspeople, and diplomats, and Pitts rose from obscurity to head the House Values Action Team, an off-the-record network of religious right groups and members of Congress created by Tom DeLay. The corresponding Senate Values Action Team is guided by another Coe protégé, Brownback, who also claims to have recruited King Abdullah of Jordan into a regular study of Jesus' teachings.

The Fellowship's long-term goal is "a leadership led by God—leaders of all levels of society who direct projects as they are led by the spirit." According to the Fellowship's archives, the spirit has in the past led its members in Congress to increase U.S. support for the Duvalier regime in Haiti and the Park dictatorship in South Korea. The Fellowship's God-led men have also included General Suharto of Indonesia; Honduran general and death squad organizer Gustavo Alvarez Martinez; a Deutsche Bank official disgraced by financial ties to Hitler; and dictator Siad Barre of Somalia, plus a list of other generals and dictators. Clinton, says Schenck, has become a regular visitor to Coe's Arlington, Virginia, headquarters, a former convent where Coe provides members of Congress with sex-segregated housing and spiritual guidance.

5. this issue was discussed extensively and debunked as
nonsense several months ago.

But now that Obama is in a little trouble, it's time to drag it out again, I suppose.

22. Have you discussed the issues as they relate to Hillary's "faith"
and her spiritual leaders?

Just wondering if what you consider an issue is an issue for the person you support?

32. if you can mock this and disclaim it and ignore it, then you are
treading on hypocracy if you find Wright offensive. Wright is one idiot in a church with about as much power to do anything about the world as you and I. People in this rednecked cabal drive the world we live in. if that doesn't bother you, then there is no hope anywhere.

Fuck this group. Fuck Wright. Everyone of the 'values' idiots out there need to examine their consciences. If they can find them.

And, as long as elected officials don't legislate their beliefs or are hypocrites about certain issues, I don't give a damn what their religious background is.

It's a cell of members only power people who have some very odd and dangerous beliefs and records

20. Here's the quote STRAIGHT OFF their website:
"The United Methodist Church does not condone the practice of homosexuality and considers this practice incompatible with Christian teaching."

Why are you defending them against their own doctrine?

Which applies just as well to Obama and his church.

26. There is a distinct difference... it is the fundamentals of those beliefs that...
seperate Wright's church from other AA churches that teach self respect and reliance.

Also, Wright IS the church... he is THE preacher... it is not a larger organization like the methodist church.

Obama also chose this guy to be a central and pivotal part of his life.

27. No, that's incorrect. If you want to assert that, please provide a link. Yesterday
a poster put up information about the United Church of Christ.

They are a wisespread denomination with millions of members nationwide.

So please post a link to substanciate your claim, or disavow your claim. Thank you.
