I have lost a lot of respect for him since this race started. Seems like they want the whitehous back so bad they will do or say anything to get it, and that not only makes me sick, but makes me think of the current occupant of the whitehouse, and how dirty he played to win! :puke:

I live in Texas. My county went for Obama 60/40 and it was a tough fight. I think Obama's chances are better in NC.
And I am still flabbergasted that people will appear on Fox News/Sell their souls to the devil and risk destroying our party. My husband can't even stand the sound of Faux news. He has to leave the room. He will flip when I tell him about this. Unbelievable.

Mel Watt is my congressman. We've got a few "liberal bastions", many college towns, and a heavy AA population. I kid you not, people in their mid fifties, who have never voted in their lives are being registered for the upcoming primary.
I don't remember, in my lifetime, North Carolina ever making a difference in who gets the nomination. I'm just so excited that I get a voice this time. The cutoff is March 24th, and we're working as hard as we can.

48. If you can, you should go to an Obama rally and bring friends/voters |
|
I went to the rally in Dallas at Reunion arena. My apolitical neighbor went with me to the rally (I told her I would buy lunch) and she not only voted for Obama, but she canvassed the neighborhood, drove other voters to early polling locations, etc. She is also a graphic designer and she made her own Obama stickers and signs and passed them out to people. The rally was quite spectacular - the scale of it was amazing (12,000) and my 13 year old son (who I let play hooky from school) has been transformed by the experience. Even my son doesn't get why President Clinton would appear on Fox news.
But back to my original point. An Obama rally really works to get the message out to those who never felt they were welcome in the political process. The Clinton campaign wishes they could capture the spirit of Americans the way Obama does.

And it was on the evening news that Obama would be holding rallies in Charlotte and Raleigh, both about an hour away. But he's skipping Greensboro (which is right next door) because the Secret Service had some concerns. I'm assuming some nutcase has made threats.
I'll have to re-check the date because I think they're being held on a workday, but both my CEO & CFO are hardcore Dems, so I shouldn't have a problem taking off.

My niece lives in Lumberton (they recently lived in Dillon, SC - but moved across the border to be able to get in state tuition in NC). She's a senior in high school. Her parents (my husband's brother and his wife) are kooky evangelical Huckabee supporting types. Anyway, my niece spent the last two summers with me and I have CONVERTED HER. But her parents are now p.o.'d at me b/c my niece is trying to figure out hos to attend an Obama rally. I LOVE messing with them on this one. She will be a Tarheel in the fall and I told her she will have MANY opportunities to hang out with fellow progressive enlightened students. :)

it would have applied to FL too. But they all left their names on that ballot. So why did they pull their names, voluntarily, from the MI ballot. To pander to Iowa? Or because they didn't want to lose to Hillary in MI? I submit one of the two must be correct.

No, Bill. We don't want this to last until Puerto Rico. Your wife is behind, she's the loser. She needs to quit and stop ruining Obama's chances in the GE. And, no Bill, many of us voters don't think BOTH candidates are wonderful. The majority of us have already voted, and we didn't choose her. We don't want 'both'...we just want Obama.

|
He also said that the Florida and Michigan primaries had TONS of voter turnout. It's clear he wanted to make it seem like they were normal primaries like the rest of them.
Out of all primaries, most had double the Demo turnout compared to the GOP. The only two where the GOP actually had more voters than the Democrats were, of course, MI and FL.
It's obvious that plenty of voters didn't voice their opinions in primaries condemned by party officials months earlier.

That if the rules were like the Republicans that Hillary would have won.
So is he admitting how stupid his wife's campaign has been for running a race that doesn't exist.
Obama is running the race that is presented before him. Huge wins in many states bring huge delegates.
Clinton is running the race that doesn't exist, winning a big state is enough, and it doesn't matter by how much.
While his wife was wasting a month campaigning in 2 big states that netted her a total of +5 delegates, Obama won 11 in a row by huge margins and built up a huge margin.

74. Maybe he is trying to end this for us and the country/Dem Party |
|
His bizzare comments haven't and will not help her case.. he has to know this is over for her but if she is as irrational as she looks/acts/talks in public, imagine what she is like behind the scenes. So he trying to sabatoge her campaign from the inside. What is she going to do about it..once his words are out there in the media, they are out there.
If you think of it this way, we really should be thanking him!
