Why in Hell is the MSM making such a huge deal about WRIGHT but we hear nothing about HAGEE? |
|
I don't think any of us here would try to argue that Hagee isn't a huge bigot, who has said things far more inflammatory than Wright ever has. You know, 'New Orleans had it coming.' Hagee? This is the toad that John McCain has decided to saddle himself with. And yet, all we hear about is how controversial Wright is. :wtf: I haven't heard SHIT from the MSM about how controversial and divisive Hagee is, or Pat Robertson, or any of the other right wing scumbags that McCain is gleefully ass-kissing. I wonder why?

Hagee is white, so his race poses no threat to the corrupt ruling elite and Hagee is a willing Pharisee to help coddle and protect the corrupt ruling elite from the ugly truth about themselves.

Obama didn't pick Wright to be his mentor because he was an angry anti-white demagogue. Obviously, Wright is a complex character with a lot of wisdom and experience to offer, apart from his more troublesome stances.
McCain, OTOH, actively sought out the advice and endorsement of Hagee because of the bigoted views he holds, because he knows that doing that would appeal to the most xenophobic and intolerant segment in our country.

They want to tear down Obama, and the way they tried to do that is by using the "angry black man" stereotype.
And Wright fits perfectly into that stereotype.

30. A big part of it is because he said GOD DAMN AMERICA! |
|
Another part is because Barack has stated this Preacher has been HIS spiritual advisor and close friend for a very long time.
I understand Barack disagreeing with some of the hateful things Wright said, but I have to hoestly tell you, if I heard that kind of sermon in my church, I would find another church. Spiritual leaders should NOT promote hate!
I voted for Obama on Super Tuesday and if he's our nominee I will vote for him in November but I believe he should get his Pastor to make at least one more speech to explain his past remarks and that he was reviewing black history but really promotes improving things in the future.

40. Hmmmm.... I seem to remember Falwell getting quite a bit of scrutiny |
|
about his comments that NOLA was destroyed by God because of their gays abortions and other sins. I guarantee you I would never have heard those comments if it wouldn't have been publicized so much because I sure never listened to HIM!
Also Falwell was NOT the personal spiritual leader of a particular candidate.
IMO all religious people who preach hate are wrong and doing nothing to help cure the problem but they promote it. Spiritual leaders are not supposed to do that!
Sometimes it's just the particular words too. "God Damn America" are pretty incendiary words, don't ya think?

that the huge corporate MSM is beholden to the Republican Party. If they can not sway the electorate to that position, they want the Dem most likely to be friendly to corporations. Obama is in third place of the three candidates in the eyes of corporate America. He must be terminated with extreme prejudice (a line stolen from "Apocalypse Now", but could hold a double meaning to some). The MSM is scared of what an Obama Presidency might mean for big money and media control of voting patterns. Of course, a better informed electorate, and less mutton-heads would help, but I'm not holding my breath on that one.
