Obama's Great Speech on Women and LGBT rights |
|
Edited on Tue Mar-18-08 04:42 PM by lamprey
is not a speech he can give. I don't doubt his commitment, but unlike racism, he hasn't lived it.
One candidate, Hillary, can give that speech, and should she avert her eyes from the polls, and, reflect on her life's story, her campaign and the country can would forward.
Looking back over this primary it's remarkable that the top three contenders, Obama, Clinton, Edwards, addressed at their core, three fundamentals of justice and division: Race, Gender and Poverty. One candidate, Dennis Kucinich, tackled Militarism head on, but few were interested. Peace is just a word.

1. I think one of the points of Obama's speech was that as long as we sit |
|
around arguing about how "my injustice is worse than your injustice" we aren't addressing health care, college expenses, the War in Iraq, vanishing jobs etc.

thought it was more important to attack the other candidates and praise Stormfront.org's main man ron paul than work with other democrats.

I think she can speak from the heart on theses issues, but I am not making any accusation.

Seriously, how is Hillary any more qualified than Obama to give a speech on this issue? Please enlighten me.
