... because THEIR favorite wasn't chosen? We seem to be infested with folks here who just can't 'let go' of their personal investment in the primary candidate of their choice, and it worries me, frankly.

1. I know what you mean, but folks will come around.
Just remember some of our Deaniac friends, who are fully on board now.

Yes, there will be extended period of bitching and moaning.

8. I'm saying beware of making the same mistakes
the republicans are making. Arrogance and the attitude that your way is the only way. Things that make people mad.

Also, Kerry is still endorsing pursuit of the Iraq war. He wants to win it and apparently has come out in favor of the draft. He's trying too hard to be what he thinks is moderate and he ends up looking like a Bush clone. The number of people who oppose the war is growing and a lot of people already strongly oppose reinstating the draft. Both of these positions could hurt him at the poll.

unless he picks Gephardt or an actively anti gay candidate, you won't hear a peep from me.

19. I reserve the right...
...to whine, bitch and moan if I think Kerry makes a bad decision. On anything. Some decisions more than others. I don't expect to agree with everything he says or does. Heck, I don't even agree with everything Clark says, altho I've never been dissappointed with his actions.

But it won't change my vote, and I can't for the life of me imagine why it would worry you. Frankly.

I will never "let go" of my belief in Wes Clark. That's just the way it is. Clark is not a politician and my loyalty to him transcends politics. But it has absolutely nothing to do with my willingness to support Kerry, and it's not like I would go out and tell all my moderate or independent friends to vote for Bush either.

Obviously, my enthusiasm will be greater if Clark is on the ticket. So what?

20. Of course they will and then they'll get behind it.
I will piss and moan about how much of a fool he is if he doesn't pick Clark. And then I'll get behind it.

What's the alternative? Letting Bush have a second term? I don't think so.
