John McCain for VP?
I still think he's the best VP candidate. I love Clark, but having a GOP'er would bring crossover votes. It would send a message to those swing voters, even members of W's party are jumping ship.
Also, McCain and Kerry are friends.

John McCain is a leader in the fight against Global Warming.

Does that make him a bad Independent now?
He sang with ASScroft and Trent Lott.

... a pro-choice president with an anti-choice veep. That alone would doom such a union.

Drop this subject, its as wacky as Bill Clinton being veep. Please stop.

16. Glad to Hear It
Why would you want a man who sings the praises of a man and a political party that attacked his family. If we can't count on McCain to defend his own family from attacks, then I sure in hell won't trust him to defend my family.

McCain may have been a hero as a POW, but now he's as spineless as a jellyfish, no offense to any jellyfish that may be lurking out there.

we would vote for Bu$h. I can't believe anyone, especially a liberal would even dream of such an idea. It's crazy. McCain is a REPUKE and a BU$H SUPPORTER. Why do people keep pushing McCain,of all people? Do you really think he is better than a DEMOCRAT? Khrist......I feel like I'm in the twilight zone. :eyes:

14. cross over voters?
maybe a few conservative independents but would it be worth losing pro-choice democrats since McCain is such a strong pro-lifer? would it be worth losing environmentalists because of McCain's overall record? would it be worth losing liberals and progressives by supporting someone who strongly supports the war on Iraq? would it be worth losing democrats who will not vote for a Republican? one who if Kerry is somehow incapacitated would appoint conservatives to the Supreme Court? It would also cause the GOP to say, "they obviously don't think they have enough talent in the Democratic party that they have to select a Republican."

you guys make me throw up. You are telling the world that the democrats don't have anyone worthy of being vice president, so we need to borrow a guy from the republicans. I'm sure the republicans love to read your support for their party. All of us democrats, might as well vote for that criminal bush.

You pizzzed me off.

18. It's not that McCain isn't an enticing idea...
...but McCain is still pledging his support for * despite his increased criticism of the current administration. McCain's a vet, he survived the Hanoi Hilton, and I respect him for some of his initiatives on the Hill - but Kerry's VP? Not bloody likely.

I've been hearing three names: John Edwards, Wesley Clark, and Gov. Bill Richardson (Dem-NM).

John McCain would make a great candidate on a "Real Republican" third party ticket headed by Olympia Snow. Not likely to happen, of course.

But if you want a McCain who is a demsoc for VP, I'm available. (Very distant cousin -- not sure how distant, actually).

37. We don't need McCain....
We've got Wes Clark. Hell he was called a Republican throughout the goddamn primaries......now, all of a sudden, he's not Republican enough for you?

I hate this!

A 4 star General Allied Supreme Commander of NATO who wrote peace treaties, fought a war and won without a single U.S. Soldier casualty IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH?

Not only that but he saved 1.4 Albanian MUSLIMS (we need help with that relationship right now)......

He's from the South.

HELL BELLS....I just don't get someone with a Dennis Kucinich Avatar talking about putting a Republican on the ticket. A Hawk at that!

This is just so stoopid, I probably should not have responded!
