Bush Campaign "Bus Tour" is just another lie
This morning I was listening to the local Detroit radio news station (WWJ 950 AM - Not to be confused with right wing hate radio station WJR 760 AM "The Hate Voice of the Great Lakes").
WWJ was covering President Bush's departure from Michigan while on his "Bus Tour" through Michigan and Ohio.

The most surprising part was that he was at Selfridge Air Force Base (Just outside Clinton Twp., MI) when he was departing for Ohio.
What was "the President" doing at an Air Force base while on his "Bus Tour" you might ask? Why, he was boarding Air Force One for a flight from the suburbs of Detroit to Toledo, Ohio. A flight you say? To Toledo? During his "Bus Tour"? On an AIRPLANE?

I find this totally bizarre, when you consider that Toledo is only about a 45 minute drive from Detroit, whether you take a bus, or car.
With a cost of $35,000 per hour to operate Air Force One, this seems like an enormous waste of taxpayer money. It appears we are all needlessly being forced to fund W's second run for the Presidency.
The plane flight was clearly a waste of money, especially when you consider that the bus was going to drive to Toledo ANYWAY, in order to be there for the President's next "Bus Tour" photo-op.
Imagine that. He gets off of a plane in Toledo, and then jumps on a bus to pose for photos. Nobody's buys this BS right?

Is riding on a bus beneath King George? Either way, isn't actually riding a bus an essential part of any "Bus Tour"? Perhaps, he was afraid of meeting some unemployed people if he actually drove through Michigan?

In Michigan, we're now used to the traffic jams associated with Presidential candidates and their motorcades. This time we not only had the traffic jams on the roads, but we also had the "no fly zone" imposed by the Presidential Secret Service staff. Even the local "traffic-copter" pilot thinks the "no fly zones" are ridiculously restrictive.

Apparently, no inconvenience is too inconvenient for Michigan residents, at least in Bush's eyes.

Take a quick look to the sky, Ohio! Is it a bird? Is it a plane?
No. It's George Bush's campaign "bus".

2. It would have been more surprising if he took the bus.
I just assume everything Bush says is a lie, it is easier that way.

7. Yes, now we learn that the Bus was made in Canada
I can't say that I blame the righties though. Canadian citizens have a guaranteed health care program that takes advantages of all the group buying power of it's members. As a result, health care is cheaper, and the final price of manufactured goods is ultimately lower. They probably got a better price. Let's just hope China doesn't start selling buses in Michigan.
