Where's the outrage over this remark by Sen. Claire McCaskill?
“He, for the first time, I think, as a black leader in America, has come to the American people not as a victim, but rather as a leader,” McCaskill said.

5. Hey, she's new at being a surrogate -- give her a break
We ought to be focusing on McSame's continual "senior moments" ... no excuse if he's the
"foreign policy expert" everyone seems to think he is.

7. It's a disappointing comment. I hadn't heard of it before
but unfortunately, many whites think this way about blacks.

That's why I'm glad Obama is opening up a dialogue about it.

9. I just read the article and saw the statement
Seems to me she is saying he deserves the candidacy because he is the first black man to reach this point in a presidential political race. There will be no outrage because McCaskill supports Obama.

10. OK that was in poor taste
But if you're trying to compare it to Ferraro's comments, it's apples and oranges, and not IMO worth getting outraged.

12. Don't sweat the small stuff.
There are real issues and more important people to scrutinize. Look at McCain, who does not know the difference between the Sunnis and Shiites. Look at Cheney, who doesn't care what the American people want, and has no problem saying so.

We should be forcing the media to focus on those types of things.

16. The headline to that story reads, "McCaskill defends pastor’s ‘good works’"
Meaning, McCaskill is one of the few public figures who's actually sticking up for Wright.
