Pastor Wright should apologize to Bill
Edited on Thu Mar-20-08 10:15 PM by JVS

When somebody has requested "the pleasure of your company" at a prayer breakfast in the white house and you have such a nice time, it's impolite to make references to your host's sexual improprieties (i.e. "riding dirty") even in the event that your personal loyalties may lie elsewhere in a later political atmosphere.

Now let's bury the hatchet on this one.

6. Yup. TWENTY YEARS with BHO, and twenty minutes with WJC.
Of course, we all know that Hillary would have gotten up and left had SHE heard such bigoted remarks about anybody. Just look at what she did at Yale when they told her to give a speech supporting the war.

Of course, BHO catered to the wishes of the establishment when he was asked to do the same.

7. Are you suggesting that Bill "requests the pleasure" of bad people's company?
You should really have a little more respect than that.

12. No one gives a shit if Bill knew who he was
His staff sure as hell did, as did the Secret Service. If he was known for regularly giving anti-American racist speeches he would never have stepped foot in the door.

Stop spinning.

9. Actually, this isn't hardball. It's name-dropping. The Clintons should be flattered.

13. I remember this event - clinton was in deep shit over Monica
and had sniveled to of all people Jesse Jackson to assemble some black religious leaders for a show of support. Jackson brought a contingent of black pastors from Chicago to the WH and apparently Rev. Wright was among the group. Later clinton asked Jackson to privately pray with him. Of course 10 years later he had no qualms about repaying Jackson by throwing him under the bus after the South Carolina primary.

16. Well then it appears that Bill owes some apologies to some black ministers.
It's not kind to use people as props to dig yourself out of a heap of shit and then use the name of the very man who helped you most in your hour of need as a way of belittling a political opponent. Rev. Jackson is a forgiving man and hopefully things can be smoothed out,
