May 7 (Bloomberg) -- U.S. President George W. Bush is losing support over his handling of the economy and the war in Iraq, though his Democratic challenger for the White House, John Kerry, still trails him, an Associated Press-Ipsos poll shows.

Only 43 percent of the sample questioned in the monthly poll back Bush's management of the economy, Bush's lowest rating since Ipsos began tracking it just over two years ago, AP said.

Support for Bush's handling of foreign policy and terrorism has dropped to 50 percent, a loss of 5 percentage points in a month, AP said. Only 46 percent said they approve of his handling of Iraq.

1. Kerry wins if you take Nader out of the race
Nader is polling at 7% in that poll, while Bush leads 46%-43%. Every time this happens in a poll it should be mentioned that if you take Nader out of the race it at least becomes a closer race, while other polls would show a Kerry victory.

4. Nader is not getting 7%
Nader highest percent he has ever gotten is around in any election 2%. Any poll that has Nader higher than 2% is garbage.

5. The most devastating new for Bush:
Southerners and Republican women, two key Bush constituencies, have lost enthusiasm about his handling of foreign policy and terrorism, according to the poll conducted for the AP by Ipsos-Public Affairs.

6. Well
If Shrub loses the support of angry white Repukes, then there goes his base. He's struggling to hold onto them now.
