Let's see: Do I want a smart, mean, dirty-fighting President, or do I want |
|
a calm, resilient, visionary President?
Hmm....... so hard to decide...... hmmmm...

a SMART, calm, resilient, visionary president. Barack's got a big brain in addition to his cool temper and mad oratory skills. :) But you're right: There really is such a difference between the two when it comes to character and personality.

3. Apparently, you want a president that isn't running. |
|
I don't see any 'calm', resilient, or visionary candidates. I see shit talkers and phonies on all sides. Possibly, the only people who are 'resilient' are Clinton and McCain as they've both trudged through their own bullshit and the bullshit of those around them for decades, while Mr. "I can deliver a speech that JFK's speechwriter wrote for me" as, so it seems, a Bush Jr. level of pompousness and smugness that will no doubt explode one day into an utter embarrassment for the American people.
Hope isn't a vision. It's a feeling that desperate people get when they have no real choices. No real political movement was ever based on anything other than real commitment and action--not 'hope'.

7. Apparently, you don't remember Bill Clinton's famous line, "I still believe in a place called Hope. |
|
Keep hope alive that what you say is true, though.

13. "Pompousness and smugness"? |

Killer projection. Do you know him? Have you ever been in a room with him?
Give me the community organizer over the Walmart Exec or the S & L felon.
Clinton and McCain sure have trudged through their own bullshit for decades. And they have the cronies to prove it. Do you not know who is funding those campaigns? That's pretty surprising. I thought you were more careful than that.
Obama is a politician, and a gifted one. You now have a choice. You can put in with the Clinton debacle, go over to the McCain insanity, stay home or deal with the best person the Democrats can put up. He's not Dennis, he's not even Edwards but he's clearly more progressive than Hillary.

I want someone intelligent, unflappable, good common sense, well liked by the world. That counts Mr John Mc and Ms Hillary out.

I see a possibility that BOTH candidates are untenable by the time the convention rolls around.
Under those circumstances, seems to me the rational thing to do would be for the superdelegates to deadlock the convention- and choose a compromise candidate, endorsed by each of them.
