Hillary vows tonight she is taking it to the convention no matter what happens
Edited on Fri Mar-21-08 08:37 PM by acrosstheuniverse
I just heard this breaking news clip of this on 700 WLW in Cincinnati while driving. Can somebody find a link to this statement? I missed it and cannot access the radio now.

5. Wouldn't shock me. The Clintons have revealed themselves to be selfish to the extreme.
This race is about THEM and only them as far as they are concerned.

It isn't about America. It isn't about women. It isn't about helping people. It isn't about beating the republicans. It isn't about the party.

It's about the Clintons.

10. Perhaps they really feel it is...
...about America... about women... about helping people... about beating the republicans... and about the party...

Do you really think you know what Hillary thinks?

She has been around for a while and no doubt thinks she is the best for the country, the party, and our people. She probably thinks Barack doesn't have a chance.

Can you read minds? Or do you just assume everyone who isn't BO, is evil or something? Very simplistic thinking.

Seriously.

They are both flawed and imperfect and vulnerable.

Until either hits the magic number, it ain't over. She has a right to run for President.

Just my humble opinions...

14. Even if they really think that, which I doubt, there comes a time when its over
Taking this to the convention helps nobody but Clinton in 2012. Its sad and pathetic that she's putting herself so far above the party. She makes me sick.

20. She wants the Super-Delegates to decide...
I don't know why she can't just buy them off, and have them decide today. Why make all those people vote in elections that don't 'matter' anyway?

26. She thinks electing McCain will help America?
This is pure egoism. She, the destined one, would rather hurt everything she ever fought for than rally around the Democratic nominee. That's just pathetic.

6. Watch out boys and get those codpieces ready.
The girls have entered the building and they are really, really pissed off.

Turn around? Fair play? You decide.

13. I'm sure they'll get to that right after they finish kicking some butt.
Girls are like that.

In the meantime, you might want to go get that codpiece.

I'm just going to watch the show.

9. I think the supers will pretty much commit after PA/NC/IN
and it will be clear who the nominee is. THere is no point in dragging this on into the summer.

15. The main thing that should be done
is pull back all the hardcore politicking and negativity. She can change gears to the high road and still soldier on, probably to better effect. Sending Penn to Guam and Bill to Africa would be a good move. An actual concession is a big gulp considering.

This bold talk comes after the Richardson body blow. Even if more endorsements are marching on the horizon the first changes might be subtle, for "financial" reasons and the good of the party(making it look like a mutual agreement). Look, she wouldn't have gotten into this to begin with had she accepted the facts over ambition. The South looked like an impressive possibility during the Civil War even though actual inevitability is against it from start to finish. Lee went on far too long too.

If the party is so damned worried about damage and its image it knows full well how to get busy and stop it, by hook or crook.

If the party elders don't get her to face reality first, maybe her money people will.

28. Remember Joe Lieberman?
She'll just go on wingnut welfare. 5-10 million a month is nothing to the right wing oligarchs lining up to protect their spot at the trough.

after the last big donor gives, she will drop out, and not a moment too soon.
