Foreign Policy - Hillary or Barry |
|
Both gave recent speeches regarding their thoughts on the future and positive goals for America: Senator Obama's speech http://my.barackobama.com/page/content/fpccga/ Senator Clinton's speech http://www.hillaryclinton.com/news/speech/view/?id=6196 Personally, I liked Senator Clintons reasoning better but then I'm biased.

1. what is this "Barry" stuff? |
|
I believe we should call people what they prefer to be called - Mr. Obama prefers "Barack" now so why are you calling him Barry?

my name is Susan - I was known as Sue until I was in my early twenties when I decided I liked Susan better - I would not care for people calling me Sue now; people should be addressed how they wish to be addressed

4. Quick - alert all posters - preferred names only |
|
Barack's mother did call him Barry according to him. But she was his mom and entitled to call him anything. She sounds like quite an amazing person.
And answer to OP - I find HRC's much better on foreign policy than BHO.

Lots of people prefer their given names in favor of nicknames bestowed upon them. I like the name Barry.
Edited to add: This was to be a serious discussion and using the nickname Barry was inappropriate for such a discussion. I apologize for my lack of impartiality to those offended.

19. I think we should defer to a universally respected authority on this. |

policies?
If it's a speech, for delivery I have to give it to Barack. For summary, again it goes to Barack
If it's actual well documented policies we're talking about, I have to give it to him here as well.
Not that Hillary doesn't have good ideas or anything.
I don't trust Hillary on foreign policy, she voted for the IWR, now we have her vote on Iran, and the foreign policy experience she has been touting, is turning out to be half truths, and non existent truths.
It doesn't matter what she says she will do, she has lost the judgement and honesty arguement on foreign policy.
Edited to add: I will say if she is the nominee, I will still vote for her, because I certainly don't want another 4 years of Republican rule.
