PSA: Use the *plonk*!!! The best way of all to Let It Sink!!! |
|
Disruptors are what it's there for!
So feel free to use the best way of all to Let It Sink - use that twit filter!
Use the Ignore Author link (the one with the little silhouette with a red "X") and everything that comes from that tool's keyboard automatically sinks for you.
And in your mind, imagine the Wile E. Coyote plunge that loser makes before he makes that plonk sound at the bottom of your ignore list.

I'd rather see my own shameless self-promotion on the top of GD-P than troll threads.
Let them sink, and *plonk* the trolls without shame or mercy!

2. And after a few days... |
|
Everything 'posted' will come from people who think just like yourself! It would be just as 'Fair and Balanced' as Fox News.
Personally, I have never used the ignore feature. If I dont like something that I peruse, I use a different feature. Its called 'thick skin'. It has served me well.

3. I'll clean out my ignore list after the primaries are over... |

When Skinner announces the presumptive nominee and lays the tombstones on those who continue to disrupt, then I'll clean out my ignore list and give people another chance. But right now, there are too many freepers on this board using the contention between the candidates as a way to disguise themselves and disrupt at a level that wouldn't otherwise be tolerated.
There's a difference between having a civil disagreement with a fellow Dem and getting in a pointless flamefest with a group of freeper disruptors who're deliberately provoking that flamefest. Arguing with them is pointless - they're not going to see things your way, they're specifically here to disrupt the board, so *plonk* they go. I won't be a part of their audience.

People who disagree with you are not going to see things your way. If that's what you want, you'll have to find a splinter site. Democrats are a broad spectrum.

5. Disagreement is one thing. Disruption is quite another. |
|
There are at least 2 dozen people who (IMHO) are not adding anything at all to the discussion. Why bother with someone who only posts unsubstantiated attacks and smears, and says nothing positive about 'their' candidate?

6. I'm perfectly willing to engage in civil disagreements. |
|
Hey, I disagree with you on the subject of using the ignore feature, but I'm willing to discuss it with you.
But like I said, there are disruptors here - they're not willing to be civil, they're just trolls provoking screaming matches specifically to drown out civil discussions, and I'm no longer going to play their game.
