From the Phew Dept.: Obama "Clinton has the right to continue to compete.." |
|
I'm just so darned glad that Obama has seen that it won't hurt to let the Clinton campaign live for just a little while longer. Looks like he'll be too busy with damage patrol to worry about Hillary's climbing numbers and money. http://www.correntewire.com/obama_hillary_has_the_right_to_continue_to_compete

6. I'll take that as a constructive comment by Obama |

This is a duplicate of another thread so I will repeat here what I wrote on the other one:
"It has increasingly become a big talking point with many of Obama's supporters that Clinton needs to drop out of the race immediately. In light of that I will consider this to be a positive answer by Obama to a question that it doesn't surprise me that he was asked, given the pressure some are trying to mount claiming that it hurts the Democratic Party for Hillary Clinton to even campaign in the remaining primaries while neither candidate can claim to have the delegates needed to win.
I think it is actually helpul to hear Obama repeat his belief that Hillary Clinton has a full right to continue. Yes it SHOULD be obvious to all but lots of things that should be obvious aren't always so. My, ahem, annoyance is with those who have pushed so hard to create a need for Obama to even clarify his formal position on this, whether that be supporters of his inside of or outside of his formal campaign."

8. She certainly has that right, and I've never suggested otherwise... |
|
However - having the right to do something, does not make it right to do it.
