21. I like Bill Richardson as well.
But haven't heard his name mentioned. Maybe that's a GOOD thing. People keep saying that the choice is usually a surprise and not someone constantly being touted by the media.

12. There must be a good reason for that!
DUers are among the best informed voters there are.

And with information, comes the conclusion that he is the best.

22. Sorry, but no cigar.
The reason is much more simple: Clark supporters SWAMPED DU with registrations last fall, and have a huge numerical advantage over the supporters of other candidates.

24. I've been trying to figure that one out too.
There is absolutely no reason whatsoever that supporters of every other candidate cannot do the exact same thing.

26. I didn't say it was bad.
I like Clark, and always have. I'm just stating that the somewhat 'elitist' rationale you gave wasn't the true reason.

13. An insider in the campaign said he's strongly leaning to Gephardt
If you have another preference, you need to be convincing.

15. Gephardt = Nader with 5% or more
I would be seriously tempted to vote Nader myself with Gephardt the war-mongering loser on the ticket.

17. Gephardt will bring Missouri to the Dem column
and make Ohio almost irrelevant.

I think this would be a risky strategy considering what a poor campaigner Gep is, but c'est la guerre!

18. Gephardt isn't that popular outside st. louis
There's a reason he never ran statewide. He may or may not bring MO on board.

4 star general VS another draft dodger and the CEO of halliburton.
