This "sniper fire" thing is Senator Clinton's golden opportunity.

All she has to do is make a speech, and create a "teaching moment" for our nation about the rarely-discussed tensions between two communities: the community of plain-speaking, honest people, and the community of self-aggrandizing liars. Now these groups may not speak about their mutual animosity in polite company. But in the back rooms of the Senate you'll hear the liars damning those "goodie-two-shoes, decent Americans". And around any water-cooler in American you can hear decent people talk about lying politicians like Senator Clinton, ...and Bill Clinton, ...and George Bush, ...and John McCain. It's sad, but so true. And if Americans don't come together and face these differences in our levels of honesty, well, NOTHING WILL CHANGE.

I'm sure Senator Clinton can turn all this terrible press she's received about "sniper fire" right around. She can turn it to her favor, and help to heal our nation besides. All she has to do is make a speech. And how hard could that be? I mean, a speech...? It's just a bunch of words!

Right?

16. Women leaders choosing to lie weakens the rightful support for good female leaders.
How's that for irony, feminist clintbots? She's damaging your vital cause with her lies.

Do you like being repped by a lying scumbag like her?

26. Actually, no
As far as I can tell Obama claimed not to have heard a particular sermon, he didn't deny hearing any sermons. On that particular sermon we can place him in another State when it was given. Doesn't strike me as much of a problem.

What strikes me as a bigger problem is the racism so many in the Clinton camp have shown recently in their efforts to push this story, the lies and defense of lies both about her own experience and about things like the above, and a higher state of aggression against another dem than we've seen from the dems against repubs in quite a while. When was the last time she put this much effort into tearing down the OTHER party?

Clinton isn't in trouble because of her sex, because of right wing lies, or because of some affirmative action program. She's in trouble because she mismanaged her money badly and early so ran short at critical times, she pulled the same mistake Giuliani did by not campaigning in a lot of States so that gave Obama huge delegate wins in those, she expected him to be gone in the early polls and he matched her in those, then on Super Tuesday, then after Texas, and when she couldn't put him away on any of those she started in with the kitchen sink attack.

She's in trouble due to poor campaigning, mismanagement, ego, and misplaced aggression, her own. The excuses and trying to pass the blame off to others is not only tired but at this point transparent.

Washington Post - March 24, 2008

Both Obama And Clinton Embellish Their Roles

By Shailagh Murray and Jonathan Weisman

After weeks of arduous negotiations, on April 6, 2006, a bipartisan group of senators burst out of the "President's Room," just off the Senate chamber, with a deal on new immigration policy.

As the half-dozen senators -- including John McCain (R-Ariz.) and Edward M. Kennedy (D-Mass.) -- headed to announce their plan, they met Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.), who made a request common when Capitol Hill news conferences are in the offing: "Hey, guys, can I come along?" And when Obama went before the microphones, he was generous with his list of senators to congratulate -- a list that included himself.

"I want to cite Lindsey Graham, Sam Brownback, Mel Martinez, Ken Salazar, myself, Dick Durbin, Joe Lieberman . . . who've actually had to wake up early to try to hammer this stuff out," he said.

To Senate staff members, who had been arriving for 7 a.m. negotiating sessions for weeks, it was a galling moment. Those morning sessions had attracted just three to four senators a side, Sen. Arlen Specter (R-Pa.) recalled, each deeply involved in the issue. Obama was not one of them.
