Kerry leads Bush among likely voters in Ohio (Kerry: 49, Bush: 42)
http://www.americanresearchgroup.com/ohg /

John Kerry leads George W. Bush among likely voters in Ohio according to a survey by the American Research Group. A total of 49% of likely voters say they would vote for Kerry if the presidential election were being held today and 42% say they would vote for Bush. A total of 2% of likely voters say they would vote for Ralph Nader and 7% of likely voters are undecided.

In a race between just Kerry and Bush, Kerry is at 50%, Bush is at 43%, and 7% are undecided.

These results are based on 600 completed telephone interviews among a statewide random sample of likely voters in Ohio. Of the 600 likely voters, 38% consider themselves to be Republicans, 40% consider themselves to be Democrats, and 22% consider themselves to be independents. The interviews were conducted May 10 through 12, 2004. The theoretical margin of error for the total sample of 600 is plus or minus 4 percentage points, 95% of the time, on questions where opinion is evenly split.

3. I live near Cleveland, and there
was an article in The Plain Dealer the other day about Timken plant closings in Canton, the approximately 1,500 jobs that would be lost, and how that will likely affect Bush's chances in Ohio. The manufacturing base has been destroyed in this state and all over the state jobs are fleeing like mice from cats.
