Gore is not going to be our candidate
I'm going out on a limb here but I don't see this happening. I understand that the media and pundits have been buzzing about it. I've heard that one or two elected officials have mentioned it as well. It's a remote possibility but that’s only because it conceivably could occur. A gigantic asteroid could hit the earth as well, wiping out life as we know it. It's possible. But I'm not losing sleep over that possibility just like I don't think this Gore thing is going to happen.

The media LOVES this angle. You know why? It's a sensational story. It would be a ratings magnet. Everyone would want to turn on the TV and watch the Democrats implode at their convention. Pundits are practically wetting themselves for the opportunity to share their vast knowledge :eyes: of all the twists and turns of politics with all of us little people. The possibility of LAST MINUTE CONVENTION DRAMA is so exciting to them that they keep floating this idea.

A couple of elected officials may have mentioned it. I see that as more of a threat to Clinton and Obama - a hint that they need to get a move on and start wrapping this thing up.

I love Gore from the bottom of my Tennessee heart. He got screwed in 2000 :( but I think it would be a disaster if Gore became the nominee (even with Clinton or Obama as VP). I think the Democratic party knows that. This isn't going to happen. The media sure would enjoy it though. :eyes:

1. Thank you for this.
I have no idea why people keep bringing it up.

GORE WOULD HAVE RAN IF HE WANTED TO BE PRESIDENT.

Ugh.

2. I know.
I'd love him as our President but I wouldn't want him to have to go through the smears and attacks again.

4. Maybe not.
I'll continue to hold out hope, and lobby party leaders and super delegates, though. Gore, or someone else who can win November. NOT Obama, and NOT HRC.

A slight hope is better than no hope.
