Anyone read in the Kerry bio about the puppy getting blown off the Swift boat? Everybody was completely bummed when "V.C." - you heard that right - went overboard in an ambush. They looked everywhere, but no luck - V.C. was gone.

Then, as they passed a nearby Swift, they heard a familiar yapping. Sometimes life imitates Disney...

If that wasn't enough heartstrings yanked on, wait until I tell you that Kerry bartered heavily with some South Vietnamese soldiers to rescue the dog from being dinner. True story.

One more side note: V.C. was a great and loving pup, but the crew couldn't seem to house train him on the Swift boat. V.C. had an unfortunate habit of peeing on military issue equipment. A double agent? Perhaps.
