Nader urges Hillary to keep running
Ralph knows what it feels like to put personal ambition ahead of what's good for the country.

http://www.politico.com/blogs/bensmith/0308/Whos_got_her_back.html
"Senator Clinton:

"Just read where Senator Patrick Leahy is calling on you to drop out of the Presidential race. Believe me.

I know something about this. Here’s my advice: Don’t listen to people when they tell you not to run anymore. That’s just political bigotry.

"Listen to your own inner citizen First Amendment voice. This is America. Just like every other citizen, you have a right to run. Whenever you like. For as long as you like.

"It’s up to you, Hillary. Just tell them – It’s democracy. Get used to it.

"Yours truly, Ralph Nader."

Hillary is now the new Nader. Their politics is the politics of "ME". "It's MY right to run" It doesn't matter what's good for the party or the country. It's not about ideology or helping people. It's just about them getting power and fame.

25. Hillary's campaign made the claim...is she/it LYING?
Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton's campaign has also started slapping the L-word on Obama, warning that his appeal among moderate voters will diminish as they become more aware of liberal positions he took in the past, such as calling for single-payer health care and an end to the U.S. embargo against Cuba. "The evidence is that the more have been learning about him, the more his coalition has been shrinking," Clinton strategist Mark Penn said.

66. They have a penchant for backing losers?
Or maybe they secretly really like putting either Republican or Republican-lite people in office. And I'm saying this as a Nader 2000 voter. In my defense I only did so because it was in the safe state of California. In spite of this, it was the worst vote I ever made, and I regret it tremendously. I now find Nader to be one of the most repulsive human beings on the planet, and I proudly stand behind Obama.

This may be a bit of a generalization on my part, but of everyone I know that supported Nader in 2000, the only ones that still do seem to care less about the issues and more about sticking it to the system. They'll vote for whomever they perceive as the fuck you candidate, and so far I think Hillary has fit that bill tremendously.

This guy is so oblivious to the ruins that lay in his wake. He needs to accept responsibility for the present debacle our country finds itself in--it's all Nader's fault! And, encouraging Hillary is just another sign that the guy is TOTALLY CLUELESS and he truly does not have the best interests of our country at heart! end of story.

24. Why does this shock anyone?
Nader has been working with the GOP since 2000 to try and damage the Democratic party.

He now sees Hillary joining him in that cause.

The only shock here is seeing the Clinton supporters who used to hate Nader because they knew he was helping the GOP in 2000 now cheering him as Hillary is now acting the same way.

39. Nader would say the same to Obama, he has only one purpose
He wants it to go to the convention undecided, and in his illusions of grandeur he believes he can somehow have an impact

The only thing nader will be remembered for is allowing the bush administration to destroy the country

Nader can go f*ck himself, he already has done so to the country

As far as Hillary staying or going, that is her decision, and I will vote for WHOEVER the Democratic nominee is, but I WOULD NEVER VOTE FOR THAT POS nader OR mccain

Incidently, to those Clinton supporters, I hope you realize that nader does not have your interest at heart. It wasn't that long ago that the scum Nader said he would enter the race ONLY if Hillary decided to run

In other words, run, fight, and campaign for your candidate against Obama, but my advice is DO NOT ALIGN yourself with that jerk

40. The question isn't whether HRC has the "right" to run, but what is best POLITICALLY -- ...
Does Nader have any explanation of what progressive political goals HRC is promoting by continuing her campaign? Or is it just the issue of running for the sake of running.

I myself, I should add, am skeptical of calls for HRC to withdraw, as I confidently would NOT support Obama or Kucinich withdrawing if they were in a similar circumstance. So my main beef is with the 'kitchen sink' strategy pursued, which is really perverse, and Democrats at the grass-root should pay heed, especially if Obama loses in 08, with HRC lining up for a run in '12.
