Dennis to appear on Meet The Press
From the campaign:

NBC's Meet the Press has invited Kucinich to discuss the US role in Iraq this Sunday, May 23rd, with Chairman of the Armed Services Committee, Duncan Hunter. While Meet the Press is aired live in most cities, there is a varied schedule across the country.

1. What will the first question be
Maybe, "Why have you not dropped out?" Number two might just be, "When do you plan on dropping out?"

6. Maybe not, since
the discussion is about the US role in Iraq. But if the questions come up, they are welcome and I'm sure Dennis is ready to answer. He can probably answer those questions in his sleep while standing on one leg and juggling fire at this point, lol.

It's a great opportunity to get the reality of his campaign, rather than the "spin," out to the public. Do you think if he explains it on Meet The Press we might be done hearing people ask the questions?

2. Will Dennis act like Nader toward Kerry and criticize him?

4. Dennis almost never criticizes Kerry
he didn't attack him during the primary and isn't attacking him now. he has also said he will be supporting john kerry.

5. Is this an honest question?
If so, the answer is no.

That's not what Dennis or his campaign is about.

If you aren't sure why he is campaigning, here's a snip:

Before Boston, Kucinich's first goal is to influence the party's platform, which will be shaped at hearings throughout the country later this month and in June, and adopted at the Boston convention.

The Cleveland Democrat wants a near-immediate pullout of U.S. troops from Iraq, establishment of a Cabinet-level Department of Peace, repeal of the Patriot Act, and creation of a universal, single-payer health care system. His positions are further to the left of the political spectrum than those of Kerry, the presumptive nominee. "Forget about left, right, center," Kucinich said Monday. "You have to motivate people along the lines of their practical aspirations."

Kucinich says if Kerry embraces his positions on issues such as the Iraq war, he can attract voters who otherwise might defect to independent Ralph Nader.

"We are trying to have an impact on the direction of the party," he explained. "Sen. Kerry has run a very good campaign in the early primaries and he does not need me to get to 47 percent of the vote. But he needs help to get to 50 percent, or 51 percent."

7. at last the press asks
"Wasn't there a Democratic candidate with a plan to get us out of this mess? And wasn't that the only candidate who voted against authorizing force against Iraq? And wasn't that the candidate who kept saying there were no WMD in Iraq?"

Better late than never. Though paying attention earlier would have been real super nice.

Kerry's got the nomination sewn up, so they don't have to keep him "invisible" any more. And with the current situation in Iraq, there are many they do pay attention to who now agree with Dennis, whether they've ever heard of him or not!

11. Yes...true but he voted against it because he wanted to go after Syria
Graham wanted even tougher.....no one ever mentions that part.

13. Wrong on both counts
Graham wanted to bomb stuff in Syria not invade, and he want to go after Syria instead of not along with Iraq. Thus he wanted different not tougher.

15. He dropped out so early
I forgot about him completely. But, as was stated by others, his opposition to the resolution rested on wanting harsher tactics.

10. After months of falsely claiming Dean was the only anti-war candidate
You're right. They can stop ignoring Dennis now that the nomination is sown up. The first thing I would like Tim Russert to do is apologize for misleading his audience for almost a year by repeatedly stating and implying that Dean was the only candidate in the race for anti-war progressives. I don't respect Russert at all after he did that for so long.

18. The website only has the last few transcripts
But do you seriously doubt what I'm saying? After some complaints they started saying Dean was the only "major" candidate against the war, which is just another way to ignore Kucinich and Sharpton. Every time I saw MTP discuss the election and Iraq war Kucinich received no mention, or a passing reference with a comment about him not being a serious candidate. I'd like to see a transcript from the middle of the primary campaign that proves me wrong, but every show I watched held to this rule.
