The 10 People Who Will Play Special Roles in the Election |
|
There are actually some groups of people in here too
1)The 9/11 Families:They will be the ones who decides what is and what isn't shameless exploitation of the tragedy at thw WTC. Note to BC'04 campaign: they do not like you, and you've fallen right into their trap. You should have held the 2004 Convention in Houston. Advantage: Kerry & Democrats
2)Howard Dean:People powered howard is a fundraising juggernautb who can fill campaign coffers with a swing of the bat. With the BC'04 campaign fundraising starting to run out of stream, Dean will help to close whatever gap remains in both presidential and congressional races. Advantage: Kerry & Democrats
3)Ronnie Earle:Travis County(Austin), TX's DA is set to file charges against Tom (insert unchristian nickneme here) DeLay, and with those charges come the chance to topple the Republican house majority. Advantage: Kerry & Democrats
4)John McCain:We all know the story, but his motives may be mixed. I do think he has a special role in this election, I just don't know what it is yet. Advantage:Uncertain
5)Colin Powell:I remain firmly convinced that Powell is the last person with any semblance of likability left in the Bush administration. If he jumps ship, then the SS Whistle-Ass is going down.Quickly. Advantage:Leans Democrat
6)The CIA Careerists & Senior Army Commanders: The CIA doesn't like how they were manipulated over the whole Iraqi WMD intelligence fiasco, and I'm beginning to think that more than a few senior Army commanders are beginning to get more than just mildly annoyed with the fiasco in Iraq. Their leaks can keep Bush and Cheney looking bad through November. Advantage:Leans Democrat
7)Ralph Nader: As much as I hate to say it, he's gonna be a factor. Advantage:Lean Republican
8)The 9/11 Commission:As long as they keep Bush's failures in the spotlight, Bush's ratings go down. Advantage:Kerry & Democrats
9)The Iraqi People: They don't like Bush either, and they're not stupid either. They know that the more problems that they raise for us in Iraq, the sooner Bush will lose his job Advantage:Kerry & Democrats
10)The Soldiers' Families:The longer the fiasco in Iraq goes on, the less supportive they're going to be of this military adventure on the Arabian peninsula. The more they're unhappy, the worse Bush looks. Advantage: Leans Democratic
Any other nominations?

2. PRESIDENT BILL CLINTON |
|
with his new book coming out right before the democratic convention. his book will actually be the unofficial start of the kerry campaign and message. remember kerry's new theme is "let america be america again". bill clinton's book release will help in bringing up the better days. and of course clinton is THE MASTER in communication and will be kicking ass promoting that book and it will help kerry and other democrats. kerry himself is using clinton a lot. brings him up often.

I want the protection and integrity of our consitution back. I want a free press to challenge a despot government rather than support it.
Maybe you want that, too, but tell me how the concept of "let America be America again" is lame.

11. I have a lot of thoughts about this..... |
|
....don't mistake my absence of an answer as some sort of 'cowering away'. I just want to be as true as possible in my response (perhaps we are on the same 'side'?? And just 'battling' amoungst brothers? I dunno. It's late, I'm tired (you prolly are too - unless you're in a call center in India ;-) right now )
Peace, let's exchange ideas again tomorrow.

Kerry needs some sort of memorable abstract tagline for those swing voters to remember. If his theme was "Republicans suck ass", it wouldn't have the desired effect, even though it works on me.

not go back in time again! - "let america be america again" - > that is just soooooo lame! :puke:
This is what it implicates to me: Let's go back to *have the wife do the dishes*, and we have the nice home and yard, three kids and a dog, and life is great! It's time the US takes some responsibility for their actions, it's time we ALL do something about it, and actually MAKE this world a better place to live in......work on new energy sources, stop the throw-it-all-away society, start recycling, we still have to live here and we have to teach other countries (such as China) and help them out with the problems they are going to face, or are we going to tell them *DRIVE IN AN SUV!* and bomb a saudi country for oil.
Kerry presents the NEW 'good' America

Walrus Rove and Skank Karen Hughes. Eventhough they don't like each other never underestimate their capabilities. Also the RW media like El Drugbo, and Fox News won't help.

Today on Democracy Now they interviewed a 9-11 wife who is sueing Bush on racketering charges in regards to his neglect over 9-11..She is the only spouse to so far not accept federal hush money to get them to not file suit...Her suit is in Federal Court this Summer. Her attorney is from Boston..He said there have been several instances of planes getting off course and when that occurs- Fighter jets have responded..Why not on 9-11. Could be a signficant suit. Another suit...Joe Wilson's wife suing Bush/Cheney's staff on a charge of Treason, for revealing his wife is a CIA agent. Other players....The Anti War movement . Forces that could stop fringe votes going to Nader. Our Dennis Kucinich. HOward Dean. Kucinich besides good relations with anti war elements is from Cleveland...no strong vote in Cleveland for Kerry, then cross Ohio's electoral votes off the map. With Kerry's sorry apologistic attitude toward Iraq, I would not count on anti-war elements to automatically motivated to vote Kerry.

"3)Ronnie Earle:Travis County(Austin), TX's DA is set to file charges against Tom (insert unchristian nickneme here) DeLay, and with those charges come the chance to topple the Republican house majority. Advantage: Kerry & Democrats"
We don't know if it's advantage Kerry and the Dems yet. So far most of our challenges against DeLay have been met with glee by Right Wing Extremist judges who throw most of our complaints out just to appease their buddies.
Not a great sign...
