"I'm having a great time. We played some basketball with Bob Casey and neither of us got injured. We stopped by some sports bars and had, I admit, a few beers. I fed a calf with a big bottle and that went alright and then we went bowling, which didn't go so well. There was an 8-year-old giving me tips."

The bowling was funny. His description of it, drop dead hilarious.

(sounds like a couple of my Friday nights in high school)

42. Re: your post... there's little anyone can do ...
... to help you out, if you see any correlation between Bush and Obama.

Re: your signature... You *do* realize the difference between caucuses and primaries, that both are spec'd within the DNC rules, and that both candidates had equal opportunity to fight for those caucus wins? The candidates are seeking to be the nominee of the Democratic Party, not the nominee of the Democratic Primaries. Your numbers are both irrelevant.

45. And the ones I know wouldn't think much of petty criticisms of Obama's effort
... nor the distortions of his score, from just 6 frames of bowling. (Did he not take any warm-up bowls?)

me want to go bowling..I haven't bowled since the '60's but, I'd been thinking about it even before Obama's bowling score hit the m$$$$m. Poor mediawhores don't have anything like Fake Bosnian Sniper Fire on Obama so they have to rag on his bowling score.

But I do some things with my right hand, which is the case for a lot of lefties.

For some reason with bowling I can never figure out which hand I should throw the damn ball with. Unfortunately, I'm equally bad with both! lol.

just curious 'cause I would think bowling is about "focusing" and we know Obama can do that. :)

Anyway knowing what I do about Obama and the campaign they'll turn this into bowling lemonade somewhere down the road.

... the first two of which were abysmal (and he scored a spare in the 7th, which wasn't accounted for in the widely reported "37")

18. Of course, bowling is one of the three essential cornerstones of civilization
--the other two being polka and kielbasa.

http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m1571/is_n33_v14/ai_21239831

The Funniest Celebrity Contest wasn't the first event to get Kucinich onstage. In January 1997, he wowed the crowd at the Washington Press Club Foundation dinner. According to the Chicago Tribune's James Warren, that night was "filled with senators and congressmen, lots of journalists cozying up to sources, a few lobbyists and assorted other bootlickers." Kucinich had the unwelcome task of coming on after several other freshman legislators had bombed. So he satirized House Speaker Newt Gingrich's college course, "Renewing American Civilization." His Clevelandian variant was written on an easel next to him in blue block letters: POLKA, BOWLING, KIELBASA.

28. awesome!
although I must say, it sure is great that being a great bowler isn't a prereq of being a great president.

On a side note, I would bet Hillary isnt much better than Obama at bowling, her people are just smart enough to not let her show off her lack of skills in that area.

47. Those with basic reading comprehension skills interpret the statement ....
... as him saying his bowling was so atrocious that an 8-year-old felt the need to provide him tips.

Of course, had it been Hillary getting tips from an 8-year-old, she'd have spun it into some sort of Rambo experience, ducking sniper fire and dodging mortar rounds.

37. Crappy Bowlers Unite!

I begged my mom to let me quit the bowling league she signed me up for in 8th grade. Everyone in my whole family had multiple bowling trophies. I was the youngest, and when I joined a league, I STUNK! I bowled on pure luck. Usually my score sucked, but occasionally by random, I would get a few strikes in one game. Once I won "most improved" purely because my average was SO LOW that when I finally had a truly average game, it was a 50 point improvement!

I have been talked into going bowing a couple dozen times as an adult, knowing full well I'd be the low scorer. You can't voluntarily do that if you don't have a good sense of humor about yourself!
