Poll question: Let's play Veepstakes survivor! Round TWO, !! VOTE SOMEONE OFF !!
Edited on Sun May-23-04 03:19 PM by Bombtrack
****IMPORTANT: A VOTE IS FOR WHO YOU WANT AS VP LEAST, NOT MOST******
We'll start off with ten, and vote someone off of who DU wants least. I'll start a new poll either every 1 day or 100 votes, or when a candidate is mathimatically garenteed to get the most votes before 100 votes are cast. Whichever comes first.

First round results for top 5 most wanted to be voted out:
Sen. Evan Bayh - IN - 47%, Rep. Dick Gephardt - MO - 17%, Sen. John Edwards - NC - 12%, Gen. Wesley Clark - AR - 8%, Gov. Mark Warner - VA - 5%

1. If people could explain there votes on popular people here that would
be helpful. Last poll I asked why people voted for Graham out of all of them. I should have also asked about Edwards, and now I ask about Landrieu. I understand why those people are not peoples first choice, but why are they peoples last choice?

3. Edwards is a one term Senator
I think it takes more than just a winning smile to be VP. I feel there are many more candidates that have Political battle scars that deserve the position.

23. When I get to Edwards, I will use your reasoning...
It's how I've always felt. Take another term Johnny. Then run.

7. Accident...

I accidentally voted for Edwards in the last poll because I'm stoopid.

I didn't read the question correctly and have never actually watched Survivor, so it didn't immediately click what was up here.

I'm all better now.

2. I voted Vilsack off. I don't like the unwelcoming way he treated..
Wes Clark when Clark was deciding to run. I suspect that his snide, negative attitude is what made camp Wes foolishly decide to skip IA in favor of NH. No way I want to see him benefit.

11. Yeah I get that. I'm definetly not thrilled that he's getting so much
consideration. Notice he sort of resembles Tim Russert?

4. Locked the previous poll.
Since this is round #2, it made sense to lock Round #1.

5. I voted Bob Graham
He has the greatest chance to do or say something weird. See his appearance on the Daily Show in that segment where Stephen Colbert makes fun of people that have no idea they are being made fun of.

8. You forgot one thing
He was one of the greatest Governors Florida ever had! All one has to do is look at the economy, civil rights...

18. sorry if you don't agree, but that's my opinion
I still think he has the greatest potential to do something "out of the ordinary" and Rove would jump all over it.

9. Why is it Floridians think differently? Why is he the most popular
politician in that state? If he is such a "loose cannon". Quirkiness is not always a bad thing in politicians. Lightweights and people prone to gaffe's don't chair the intelligence committee. People are not going to be afraid of his notebook habit. If anything we can make it work by comparing it to the secrecy that is hurting Cheney and Bush.

10. I am making my choices based on this...
...would a republican benefit by the candidate leaving his current job to be veep. With that criteria my final four would be Clark, Edwards, Gephart, and Graham. I will decide between them when I have to.

Also do you think it is possible that some are voting for a candidate to vote off thinking they are declaring their preferance. Opposite questions such as this must be clearly indicated.

12. Suggestion per the graphic
the spray painted red ex - looks pretty scary... reminds me of the dripping exes the crazies among the right to lifers put through the pictures of those they claimed should be targeted as associated with the "abortion industy" (their words.)

Any way to either do a solid x or circle with a half line, or do the x in another color. This looks like we are calling for something violent to befall these elected officials.

13. I voted Bayh in the first round because I'd just seen an interview
where he made me angry. Today I voted Gephart, because he's a lackluster campaigner and terribly boring/untelligenic.

Next, I'm voting for Vilsack to go because of the trashy way he treated Wes Clark. After that, I'm not completely sure.

22. Ditto..... I'm not a GEP fan, but he deserves to hang in a bit longer...
given his years of dedication and service. 'Don't think he's the VP I want, though...

14. Please edit instructions to CLEARLY emphasize the vote is ELIMINATION
I think there may well be some that vote their choice for VP and not their vote for removal from contention, if you don't.

24. I voted for her...

I think she is more valuable as a governor of a heavily conservative state than she would be as a VP candidate.

She doesn't bring much to the ticket, and she would be abandoning a lot.
