Someone contact Kerry campaign! This could look much better on yahoo
http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/040525/480/dcn10605252052

In the above pic I feel the 'Real Deal' looks stupid! It should be replaced with the Massachusetts State seal or better yet the United States of America seal! Who the hell is running Kerry's campaign! This is just common sense. What a bunch of idiots! Do I have to take over his campaign myself? It looks like a Dairy Queen sign. At least work the Real Deal into a United States of America shield.

I feel the jet pics, inside and boarding are very very powerful, as I've stated before. Kerry should always carry a briefcase, I think glasses are better, he should reference papers from his briefcase, I feel he should move/respond quicker sometimes (just to show he doesn't always talk and move slowly), wear your suit jacket as much as possible it makes you look bigging and more powerful.

3. This is what should be hanging from the walls in every Kerry office and
jet. Look like a President and not a car hop.

He needs to always appear as the anti-Bush. Smart and engaged, where Bush* is foolish and disoriented. Even aloof where Bush is (usually inappropriately) "folksy"

Where Bush* tries to seem like "one-of-the-guys," Kerry should seem more like, you know, an authority figure. A commander-in-chief. Dare I say, a president?

People forget that in 2000, everything was pretty much dandy and we had the luxury of a personality contest. Whereas here in 2004, everything's gone to shit and people are filled with anxiety. I bet this time the electorate is ready for something more than just the guy they'd "rather have a beer with." Kerry should take full advantage.

6. Exactly Right! This WON'T be a personality contest.
All these media types who carp about Kerry not being the guy you'd want to have a beer with are missing the point. When this country is in trouble, people have always voted for the person who appears PRESIDENTIAL, not warm and fuzzy. How do you think Tricky Dick got elected? Not because everybody thought he was a nice guy, but because people thought he was the toughest guy in the race.

Kerry needs to be serious and intelligent and, most of all, competent. That will win this election.

The Bushies are always talking about how the paradigm changed after 9-11. Yeah, that's what's gonna get them beat in 2004. Bush has botched his own War on Terror. Competence is the key.

7. I like the idea
of his just using the Presidential symbol, and renaming his plane Air Force One -- Because that's the plane he'll be on soon enough!

8. He should just be real.
Grave. Funny. Impulsive. Thoughtful. Candid. Whatever.

I don't discount the impact of PR or handlers, but Bushco has pretty much caused them to jump the shark.

9. It's a friggin sign WTF? I guess he needs suspenders and carry a monacle
too? Geez, let's worry about something a little more important. What's next? Have him walk around in a lab coat w/ a microscope? It amazes me how every little thing Kerry does is criticized, mostly by his own party, yet * has committed war crimes and MANY other just horrible things but that is ok. Just like I hear all the time that the issue is not whether * has a plan for Iraq but whether Kerry has a strategy for Iraq. Yes, Kerry does need a plan for Iraq. However, whether he has one or not A) it couldn't and wouldn't be implemented now B)seems to me it is more important that * and the party who started this mess and can actually affect what goes on in Iraq HAVE A PLAN C) don't criticize Kerry b/c at present he may or may not have answers to all the damn messes * has created. (sorry got away from the original topic)

10. It is important
Bush may have done all the things you say... but they are still neck and neck in most polls. Do you think Bush's planners don't go to the smallest detail including the signs around him (think mission accomplished). It all helps create the image you want and it all needs to be considered.

11. The logo is fine.
It's familiar. It's recognizable. It should be allowed to catch on, like "New Deal" or "Square Deal" in the public vernacular. If anything, it should be larger - as large as the available space allows.

Edited on Thu May-27-04 01:06 AM by dArKeR
Please honestly tell Kerry if you think #1 or #2 is more suitable. I've updated Kerry's Seal. I sure hope some of his campaign managers visit the DU!
