A quick note on endorsements |
|
If Person A endorses Person B, it DOES NOT mean that Person B endorses the beliefs of Person A.
For example:
If Ann Coulter endorses Hillary Clinton, it does NOT mean that Hillary Clinton endorses the beliefs of Ann Coulter.
Replace "Ann Coulter" in that sentence with "Rush Limbaugh", "Richard Mellon Scaife", or anyone else and it is still true.
Conversely....
If Louis Farrakhan endorses Barack Obama, it does NOT mean that Barack Obama endorses Farrakhan's beliefs.
Replace "Louis Farrakhan" in that sentence with "Jane Fonda", "Andrew Sullivan" or anyone else and it is still true.
Got it?
To recap: Endorsements are one way. Remember that the next time some repuke asks you "who do you think al Queda endorses??"

Why did this person endorse Candidate B? What is their intention with this endorsement?
I'm just thinking about the Coulter and al Qaeda analogies.
