17% in Oregon last week, 25% in Maine, 30% in Colorado and he's campaigning hard in Montana for the June the 8th primary there.

There are millions and millions of liberal progressive Democrats who are feeling that they are not being represented or heard...Obviously not by the fascist Bush, the moderate Kerry and forget Nader, he's not even an option.

Kucinch will take his campaign to the Convention for his message to be heard and then we will all give 100% support to Kerry, just as DK will do.

Because DK is a Democrat.

And he's running for president with a excellent and strong message, that needs to be heard by the nation, since the corporate media has all but ignored DK until just recently.

From Dennis Kucinich:

In the last 10 days, we've had stories in the LA Times, in the New York Times, in USA Today. I've been on Meet the Press, on Crossfire, on the Wolf Blitzer show, and on MSNBC. And there's more attention being given to our message. And our stand for peace and for civil liberties and health care for all and fair trade is finally beginning to resonate!

» Dennis Talks About the Issues

Now, it's true, the direction of the nomination appears to be more or less decided. However, we're having an impact on the direction of our Party, and YOU'RE having an impact on the direction America's going to take for the next four years. So, it's not too late. And it's not too late to give us even more energy in the remaining primaries and caucuses.

So I'm asking for you to double whatever contribution you've made. Help us now make an even stronger statement in states like Montana. Help us now call across this country for a new direction in Iraq that would bring in U.N. peacekeepers and bring our troops home. Our peace plan is finally getting the kind of national attention not only that it deserves, but that will serve to help spur a resolution of what's going on. And our call for universal, single-payer, not-for-profit healthcare is resounding from sea to shining sea because Americans are increasingly being driven into poverty because of this bad health care system.

And so this is something that has been not just my accomplishment, but yours as well.

So let's get ready to take the next step for the next strong showing, and perhaps the next victory. Let's get ready to march into Boston, not only 2000 strong with our supporters coming from all over the country, but also with even more delegates.

» How to Join Dennis at the Convention
» Make Your Reservation - It's a Donation, too!

So what an exciting windup as we move towards the stretch of this campaign and head towards the finish line! How exciting it is that we are finding an opportunity to at last make the country aware of the power of our campaign and the power of our message. So thank you! So help us keep it going! This is up to you! Please, go to that place at our web page right now where you can make an additional contribution. Help us in the next few primaries. The only thing that stands between us and victory is a few more dollars! Make it happen!

» Contribute to Change in the Democratic Party!

So thank you. Let's continue our efforts and I couldn't be more proud of the campaign team that we put together in places like Oregon and Maine and Colorado and Alaska and all the other states where we gained delegates and all the other states where we have strong support! We're putting something together that's gonna change this country. You know it and I know it. So let's keep moving ahead.

Thank you so much! And make sure that you go to that place where you can help us raise the money we need to continue empowering our efforts. I look forward to seeing you soon! This is Dennis. Thank you!

1. I was reading the letters to the editor..
in this months Harpers, in response to a recent ponderous article which justaposed the tax-cuts-for-the-rich Republican economic agenda with the poor economic condition of most rank and file Republicans. Most of the letters were spot-on in pointing out that the Democratic leadership bears much of the blame for ignoring the grassroots in favor of their corporate sponsors.

I don't really know how many Democrats live in AK, however.

On edit: I totally forgot that there's a contested senate seat there, and the Democrat (former governor?)is in great shape. So nevermind on the comment about a lack of Democrats.

4. Tony Knowles vs. Lisa Murkowski
Yes, Knowles is a former two-term governor who got an amazing (for a Democrat in Alaska) 60+% during re-election in '98. He remains popular and ahead in the polls vs. the annointed Murkowski daughter, but that race will undoubtedly be close and Knowles needs huge ticket splitting.

8. More to come.
And, IRC, there are 4 more primaries and a caucus yet to be held.

I wish I could join the campaign in Boston this July. But since I can't, I'll send them some $$$ and heartfelt thanks and support for taking the message all the way to the convention.

9. Campaigning in Montana, too.

Flashing both a smile and a union card, Democratic presidential candidate Dennis Kucinich said he "comes right from the house of labor" and decried corporations' search for the cheapest sources
of labor.

Democratic presidential candidate U.S. Rep. Dennis Kucinich, of Ohio, answers questions at the Carpenters' Union Hall during his visit to Butte Tuesday. Kucinich is challenging Sen. John Kerry in the Montana June 8 primary election. Walter Hinick / The Montana Standard Flashing both a smile and a union card, Democratic presidential candidate Dennis Kucinich said he "comes right from the house of labor" and decried corporations' search for the cheapest sources of labor.

"Cheap labor rules and we have to bring up the wages scales," Kucinich told an audience of about 40 people at the Carpenters' Union Hall on Granite Street in Uptown Butte Tuesday morning.

Kucinich, 57, is a card-carrying member of a cameraman union and an honorary member of other unions, including the Teamsters.

The loss of manufacturing jobs, including those in mining, especially troubles the candidate. He also worries about the huge trade imbalances and outsourcing of jobs to other countries where labor and benefits are cheaper.

Protecting Americans' wages is important and labor unions are ways to help that and one Kucinich — who said that neighborhoods in Butte resembles his blue-collar neighborhoods back home in Ohio — fully supports.

"If people are not paid a decent wage, they can't afford to buy the goods they are making," Kucinich said. "We are losing our ability to make things."

(That's the absolute reason Kucinich receives such minute media coveage....A threat? To whom?

DK is certainly not talking about accepting the status quo.

16. So do I, and two of my neighbors, too
One of my neighbors was a DK delegate to the MN State convention, as was I.

Even though the convention's over, there's still the matter of the platform to determine. We've collected thousands of signatures from active Democrats for Dennis's issues, and those are going to the regional platform meetings.

The nomination may be a done deal, but that says nothing about what happens after November 2.
