Mark Penn is personally representing the government of the worst human rights abuser in the Americas
Mark Penn just took a day off of the campaign trail to meet with his firm's client, the Colombian Embassy, in their quest to set up a bilateral free trade deal - one that his other client, Hillary Clinton, opposes. Now, this disconnect is, I admit, kinda rich, but that pales in comparison in my mind to a much bigger problem:

Clinton's chief campaign strategist is personally representing the government of Colombia, the country with the worst human rights record in the Americas.

Clinton chose this person for her campaign - someone willing to be bought by the government of Colombia. Someone willing to, for enough money, advocate for them in pursuing legislation to get them off the hook for assassinations, kidnappings, and the overt willingness to look the other way for right-wing paramilitaries.

Why is Penn on her campaign? Does this disturb anyone?

Can we trust Clinton on human rights when one of her senior aides is hired by the Colombian government to pursue US legislation?

This also suggests he knows her campaign is in the last throes, and is moving on.
PLUS, either she knows and tacitly agrees, or she doesn't know, but SHOULD have been informed. In either case, it's definitely a conflict of interest.

11. But will a "big deal" be done about it by the "Media" that supposedly
are "against" Ms. Clinton?

4. That's nothing new. He represents BLACKWATER.
His firm has also, on several occasions, been employed to suppress reporting about genocides taking place.

7. Been harping on this bastard since I found out he was part of the Clinton campaign.
He has no place working for any Dem, and her using him spoke volumes to me about her own brand of morals and ideals.

8. Guess that's why the Hillary campaign hasn't been reflective of
Democratic values.....or tone.

9. I suspect it's reflective of her own rightward lurch in the last few years.
At least in the foreign policy arena.
