Key delegates turn to Obama
Source: The Age

>"NEARLY three weeks remain before the next Democratic primary, but the results are rolling in from another part of the presidential contest — and they signify trouble for Hillary Clinton.

Democratic Party officials and insiders known as super-delegates are jumping to Barack Obama's camp or signalling they are headed that way, including such prominent figures as former US president Jimmy Carter. Even some super-delegates who say they are backing Senator Clinton have begun laying out scenarios under which they would abandon her for Senator Obama."<

2. The only way Obama
...doesn't get the SDs is if he does worse than Hillary in the national polls: and that's not happening.

7. Anythings possible in the country if you have enough money, it...
seems everyone is for sale. Bill Clinton already said weeks ago, that Hillary would be ahead in the polls towards the end and he felt the SD's would see that as strength. The media is bought and paid for and I would almost guarantee that the polling companies are for sale as well.

11. Okay
the Clinton's are desperate to win, so you have a point. But the SDs will not go for Hillary if she's 10 points behind Obama, nationally. However, if she's doing better than Obama against Mccain, nationally, this could be her last hope.

38. And that would be a trap. Look, republicans aren't voting for
Hillary in cross overs because they love her. They know good and well that McCain will have a easier time with her than Obama.

47. Just remember...
Polling results depend entirely on the sample you draw from. If a polling company were to take a poll (dishonestly) in an area that favored Hillary, those results would obviously show in her favor. Indeed, they are "companies" so I am quite sure that they are for sale.

8. Reality signals "trouble" for Hillary Clinton...
But it isn't trouble to be the most powerful female senator in the history of the United States. It's trouble only if you insist on overstaying your welcome as a presidential contender when the popular vote signals other realities.

If Clinton uses her class and intelligence and gracefully bows out now I would bet anything that she could convince President Obama to go for HER vision of healthcare reform instead of his. Otherwise we will end up with his, decidely inferior, version of healthcare reform.

Does she care about health care reform for Americans, or her own aspirations? That is the $64,000,000 question. Bow out now and become a force to make him president and she will influence the direction of America for the positive for the next 100 years. Otherwise.... Who knows.

15. Good question. Why are you asking me?
Are you actually unaware of the fact that many Americans support Barack Obama solely because he is a black man?

There are millions of voters who absolutely OPPOSE him for that very same reason!...do you find that fact beyond belief?

I think either position is idiotic. What do you think?

23. Absolutely! I don't defend that sort of brain-dead support either!
I'm totally aghast that out of thousands of decent potential candidates we seem to be stuck with one of two completely UNqualified idiots to run against the GOP Mighty Wurlitzer. We are going to LOSE and we are going to lose HUGE in November. And you know what?...I don't really much give a shit because we Democrats don't have the discipline to get our shit together. Don't believe me?...take a look in GD-P...if your stomach can handle it.

If I were, your ass would be outta here.

How DARE you play the race card. This isn't about
race, gender, or whom one chooses to "go to bed"
with. It's about the future of our Nation. Grow
the fuck up. I don't support Obama because he's
(half) black, I support him because I believe in

who support her just because she is a woman. And don't tell me there aren't any, since I personally know several. Hard for me to believe but that is the answer I got when I inquired why. I simply answer that I am not supporting her because she voted for the IWR.

46. I agree, because after the successful Jackson and Sharpton presidencies
if there is one thing that we know, it's that anybody who is Black has an unfair advantage when running for president. I mean, gosh, just being Black has practically been the sole criteria for our last several presidents! I remember Bill Clinton couldn't get elected until somebody started referring to him as a Black President.

44. Time To Support Obama
I'm sorry this primary has been so divisive. I'm sorry Ferraro played the race card. It is clear though that Hillary will not be the nominee for the Democrats. If Obama's and Hillary's positions were switched Id be getting ready to support her. But they aren't and now it is time for all the progressives to unite and support Barack so we can BEAT John McInsane. Its time to lead America with a progressive agenda, and clean up the mess of the last 7 years! America has spoken - it is time to trust your fellow progressives and support Obama.
