I'm so sick of hearing about how "unexciting" Kerry is!
What are we trying to do here people? Elect the President of the United States of America, leader of the world's greatest superpower, or a friggin' rock star??????? Kerry is as presidential as it gets in terms of persona, experience, and intelligence. I'd rather have that than Illegal Resident, who cracks stupid jokes at bar-b-ques, and commits social blunders and verbal gaffes non stop. If people want a keystone cops type of comedienne running the country I suggest they stay up late watching old movies instead. For me, I'll choose the guy with gravitas, stature, and international respect any day.

1. THANK YOU
Personally, after four years of cardiac Chimpy experience, I'm ready for someone a bit more unexciting, you know, intelligent, honest, SANE.

Wish I could have seen the press conference, I'm sure they won't show it again.

4. (resounding cheers) BRAVO!
Admin should get deadly with people who undermine the Kerry campaign. Period. The ENTIRE purpose of this website, and those like it, is to get that idiot chimpanzee and his gaggle of clowns out of the White House, not give a soapbox to every "Sure, I hate Bush but..." jackass out there. Let them go elsewhere and equivocate.

5. "Some" prefer the agonizing thrill
of seeing whether our President can complete a simple declarative sentence without have what sort of sound like 'words' fall out of his mouth like he's making up a language on the spot.

Americans want to be united. They're tired of dramatics and the rants from the extreme right ...and the left. Kerry is playing this very smart.

23. This "unexciting" stuff is nothing but propaganda shit peddled by
the media like "flip-flop" (my god, who is more of a flip flop than the sockpuppet--every day he changes on Iraq alone!). Kerry actually gives great speeches and they are not some fancy thing above people's heads. They just don't want anyone to listen. Maybe it's time the American people heard a goddamn proper sentence instead of subjecting their children to this incomprehensible drool and then telling them they have to study and learn in school!!!

24. It doesn't matter what *we think*
Those of us who are ABB would vote for a human sleeping pill. What matters is the swing voters that will decide this election and they are getting megadoses of the "Kerry is a bore" message. Gore wasn't a liar, a flip-flopping shapeshifter or anywhere near as stiff as he was believed to be by the time the GOP and the media got through with him.

31. Unofortunately
When 68 million people in this country (almost more than the last PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION) have just voted on American Idol it doesn't take a genius to see that the vast majority of people are IDIOTS. They love that kind of shit - and they vote for presidents in a similar manner.

And as to the unexciting fact... There is nothing wrong about calling it like it is. Dean - for example - was FAR more exciting.

68 million people didn't vote. There were 68 million votes CAST.

More like 680,000 people voting 100 times with their cell phones.

But I get your point.

33. All During the Primaries, I Kept Thinking...
Wow, how nice it is to have Presidential candidates speak in complete sentences. I'd forgotten what that was like.

Honest to God, I'd rather listen to John Kerry read the entire United States tax code than the moran stumble his way through a single sentence.

When President Kerry takes office in January 2005, the real grown-ups will be back in charge.

38. I love it when Republicans assume the Democrat will lose!
It makes rubbing in the victory even more fun. I still remember when Clinton won in 92 a Republican friend admitted "I never thought he would win."

"That's not what you told me yesterday" I said.

"I just didn't want to let you down on election day" my friend announced...

But only since that election have I discovered how rabidly anti-Clinton and anti-Democratic he really is!

Last winter when I was planning to vote for Howard Dean, a different friend who was an independent asked me who I planned to vote for. I told him I planned to vote for Dean. He said that if he voted in the primaries he would vote for Kerry because he felt Kerry had the best shot of beating Bush. Now this independent is planning to vote for most of the Democrats on the ballot, including Kerry.
