Has anyone noticed the number of threads that keep popping up about this?

7. apparently, people don't like the fact |

that he used the word "stuff" when a more Senatorial word could have been used. Sheesh. If that's all they've got...

Obama is not "clueless". He is intelligent and surrounds himself with very intelligent people who know a lot of stuff. I'll take it, thank you very much.

8. I'm personally looking forward to the day Obama is inaugurated |
|
then we can find out just how much "stuff" he knows. After all, if his campaign is any indication, he knows a great deal of "stuff" about the way Americans think and what they want out of their elected representatives.

15. "stuff"?? sorry, but I prefer a little more substance than "stuff" |
|
and, quite frankly, the "stuff" obama is communicating is making me very concerned, as is his vagueness in a lot of areas.

6. If he had shown no prior ability to speak intelligently on the subject, I'd be worried. |
|
But you are comparing him to George Bush in terms of oratorical ability and intelligence level--a charge that is, at best, incendiary, stupid, and completely unfounded.

The man writes books (very well) and speeches--not just adequately, but excellently. The one that impressed me the most was his first book, Dreams from my Father. It reads like a novel, with beautiful imagery and descriptions of conversations that make you feel like you were there. I know a thing or two about writing, and his writing style is great. He could have made a career out of it.
And there was one moment recently that further sold me on his command of language. One time he was answering a question and he used the word "less", then immediately corrected himself and said, "fewer". That says to me that he really knows his English usage, because it's a mistake that a lot of people make all the time and never realize it.

"I was told we had to land a certain way, we had to have our bullet proof…stuff on, because of the threat of sniper fire. I was also told that the greeting ceremony had been moved away from the, uh, tarmac, but that there was this eight year old girl and I said well I have, I can’t, I can’t rush by her, I’ve got to at least greet her. So I greeted her, I took her STUFF and I left. Now that’s my memory of it."

maybe it is okay to use that word after, all -- at least in that context. Ummm --well, of course, that's entirely different than the way Obama used it, you know. Obama's use of the word just shows him to be an empty suit, but when Hillary used it it just shows that she's HUMAN.
Geesh, can't you see the difference?

coming back to threaten and provoke
just having kicks... they're not passionate about their candidate
