Unions Want Penn Kicked Out Of Entire Democratic Party. Hillary Should've Listened & Actually Fired |
|

Penn. I hope this does damage. The Clinton campaign deserves it for thinking we are stupid.
Obama-Backing Unions Want Penn Kicked Out Of Entire Democratic Party By Eric Kleefeld - April 7, 2008, 4:45PM
Mark Penn's demotion from his position as Hillary Clinton's top strategist has done little to solve the problem Penn has created for her with Big Labor.
The Change To Win labor federation, which has endorsed Barack Obama and has an estimated six-million members from seven big unions, has put up a blog post with the simple title, "Mark Penn Still Has To Go."
And they don't just mean Penn has to go from the campaign — they mean he has to be kicked out of the Democratic Party entirely.
"Our message on this matter is simple," writes Jason Lefkowitz, the federation's online communications director. "People who represent union-busters should not be welcome in the Democratic Party. People who represent death squads targeting trade unionists should not be welcome in the Democratic Party."

9. I support the Unions, yes certainly and the statement that was made |
|
...indeed I do:

Mark Penn has been lobbying for the BushCo cause on allowing the Colombia corrupt government into a free trade agreement. What the fuck was that all about? And, I do think Mark Penn did this in the shadows. So kick him out

Yes, we agree, except I don't think he should be expelled; I'd rather he was put on trial. A very highly publicized trial.

14. For what? We don't have sanctions on Colombia...whether we should or not is another matter. |
|
You can't put someone on trial for something that's not a crime.

17. No, but there are such things as civil lawsuit trials and Mark Penn |
|
...may very well have violated contractual agreements with the Clinton campaign by secretly working for the other side

7. The fact that she hired a union buster can't be helped by firing him |
|
AFSCME is backing her but only because the rank and file had no choice in the matter.

8. I think the unions shouldn't be telling Hillary what to do, instead they should just not support her |
|
not vote for her, and come out in support of a candidate that is not her.

10. this should be out in the open, I am glad they are going public |
|
how hypocrital can it be when Hillary is talking about jobs jobs jobs to the people when she needs their votes yet supports Penn and his ilk in busting unions, killing unionists and wheeling and dealing another trade agreement.
this is outrageous beyond the meaning of the word and should be screamed from the rooftops.

|
he's been kissing Hillary ass lately so we'll have to see exactly how concerned he is about working class america and trade deals.

I would be seriously surprised if Penn were a registered Democrat. I mean, look at the list of corporations he represents. In his "day job" he's never exactly worked tirelessly to promote the Democratic platform.
