Ralph Nader for Kerry's VP
(That aught to ruffle some feathers)

But in all seriousness, what better way to bring the opposing sides together?

without an *asterisk explaining all the corruption, etc. behind that campaign in 1972 ....

imo - it's a cheap shot missing the whole period details

thank you, a 1st Time Voter for McGovern

12. The fact that McGovern got walloped in '72
Reflects badly on the American Electorate, but he did get walloped nevertheless.

Bottom line is, In a country where even moderate, business-friendly democrats are considered "stalinist thugs" by our friends over there at freerepublic.com, someone like Ralph Nader does not have a snowball's chance in hell of being nationally elected. But beyond that, and even more importantly, I believe, is the fact that I think he has shown himself to be a selfish egomaniac whose only real agenda is self-aggrandizement.. as shown by his total unwillingness to do everything in his power to prevent bush from being "elected" in 2000, and even more importantly, to prevent it from happening again. Despite the many areas where I agree with his agenda, such a man is clearly unfit for national office, in my mind.

6. That idea gets a consolation prize
It's hard to come up with a new ripple to the who should Kerry pick game. Though it's a bad idea, it's a new idea. Not without all merit, but close to it. We might as well nominate Michael Moore. At least he campaigned for a Democrat.

8. Nice try, but Nader does NOT love this country nor would he be a good VP
In all likelihood he ran in 2000 as an intentional spoiler and was happy that Gore lost:

http://www.soc.qc.edu/Staff/levine/Ralph-Nader-As-Suicide-Bomber.html

His intentions for running this time are even less honorable. If the above is not true, then he's way too deluded, one-issue oriented, and judgment-imparired to be in such a high office.

However, as a consolation, I DO think he should make a run for congress and see what it's really like to be a politician who has to compromise with others. Then again, he would never settle for being VP, much less a legislator, because then he wouldn't be the big cheese. As far as I know, that's been his only experience in organizations, as the one calling all the shots.

Much as I wish I could like the idea of both groups come together, I don't think Nader could tolerate moderates in whatever party he represents.
