We've seen Obama the Uniter and Hope-Igniter. Now we will see Obama the REVOLUTIONARY |
|
This bitter-gate flap gives him the perfect platform from where he can make his case to the working class people who are struggling to make ends meet with two or three jobs and still no health care. Obama needed an issue which would allow him to make a sharp contrast with Hillary on this and he just created it.
Hillary Clinton had the audacity to say:
"It's being reported that my opponent said that the people of Pennsylvania who face hard times are bitter," Clinton said during a campaign event in Philadelphia. "Well that's not my experience. As I travel around Pennsylvania. I meet people who are resilient, optimist positive who are rolling up their sleeves."
Now that is not only patently untrue but also shows a person who is inhabiting a parallel universe with very little connections with the real world out there. Hillary Clinton has obviously not had to struggle to make ends meet in a very very long time, if ever. She pretends to be sympathetic towards the common person but obviously this statement shows what a farce that it.
On the other hand Obama has had to struggle in life with his difficult childhood, paying back his student loans and choosing to be a community organizer. The time has come. Our country needs a REVOLUTION if we are to break free from Bush/Clinton eras.
Democracy is supposed to be government of the people, by the people for the people.
Under the Clinton's and Bushes it has become instead a government: of the big business, by the big business and for the big business, of the corrupt politicians, by the corrupt politicians, for the corrupt politicians, of the lobbyists, by the lobbyists, for the lobbyists, of the fear-mongerers, by the fear-mongerers, for the fear-mongerers.
The rot runs deep and its time to end it. The end of the Bush administration is the perfect time to move away from the divisive politics of before and come together as a people.
But before we can do that we need to clean out the ROT. We need someone who can FIGHT for the common person and not suck up to the same old establishment. We need someone who can look us in the face and tell us the TRUTH, no matter how harsh it may sound. That person is Obama and his latest remarks prove that.

2. And Obama's definition of "rot" |
|
is women, caucuasians, people who live in small towns, people who don't worship the same faith he does, people who are uninsured, who else?
How does he plan to get elected with a bunch of wild eyed teens and twenty-somethings? Good luck.

I've seen some complete CRAP packaged up as grandma's doilies before, but this particular post, reeking in the illumination of critical thought, lying redolent in a piquant yet pungent truth:
It's complete bullshit.
Ya might want to look at his early career as a street-level activist and compare/contrast that with Mz Clinton's early WalMart experience....And then report to the class whether you still believe yourself.
Cheers!!

6. Hillary - and McCain - live in a different universe. |
|
$94,000 for cleaning a home office? That's the value of some homes in small communities in the Midwest. They only see the faces of the happy supporters waving their signs. I read somewhere McBush and the wife have 8 homes and always use private jets. How does someone like that relate to people in the aisles at the grocery store trying to decide between generic peanut butter and Skippy?

10. Yesss.. and Hillary has been a single mom, working 2 day jobs and one night shift job... |
|
while McCain has been working on the shop floor, breaking his back, staying resilient and optimistic while seeing the value of his dollars plunge in the global economy and flush his savings down the toilet...
Good one msongs.

I liken it to the feeling of dripping an antiseptic on an open wound. He drips it, expecting an initial sting, but knowing that the initial reaction gives way for the wound to heal. The antiseptic is analagous to a dose of reality.

Obama is just another politician with 200 odd advisors and no different than any other candidate this country has been offered in decades. As all the others he is a corporate owned player who has not had his time to screw thing up and he will just like all the others.
Anyone can go around telling the people what they know the people want to hear and this is exactly what they all do.
It's all crap, the day the people not some green hopeful takes control of things then something might just change but not this way. A green hopeful becomes a weathered shill , always does ,always will.
