They are all from privileged backgrounds. That's the way it is in America--since the system is now owned by wealthy special interests, the days when someone could rise from obscurity into the presidency like Lincoln or Truman are long gone.

Please provide what "privilege" means to you. Going to good schools on a scholarship because you have the smarts is a privilege earned.

That has nothing to do with money or education -- it's a political or social philosophy, rejectable by the very richest and holdable by the very poorest. Even down-and-out Brits love their queen -- and what could be more "elite" than hereditary wealth and influence? And some very very rich people have been plain in politics and lifestyle.
