White women begin to turn away from Clinton

White women begin to turn away from Clinton

LEVITTOWN, Pa. — Like many women over 50, Paula Houwen was eager to vote for Hillary Clinton for president.

"I was impressed when she was first lady. She wasn't the country's trophy wife," the 56-year-old suburban Philadelphia pharmacist recalled.

Today, though, Houwen's no longer a Clinton fan.

"I do not like the way Hillary Clinton has run her campaign," she said.

Clinton's strongest core of support — white women — is beginning to erode in Pennsylvania, the site of the critical April 22 Democratic presidential primary, and a loss here could effectively end her White House run.

A Quinnipiac University survey taken April 3-6 in Pennsylvania found that Clinton's support fell 6 percentage points in a week among white women. Nationally, a Lifetime Networks poll of women found that 26 percent said they liked Clinton less now than in January, while only 15 percent said they liked her more.

1. I liked Hillary and Bill when they were running more with qualifications and issues
Not they seem to be intentionally misleading people and misrepresenting statements and I've had enough of that from the Bush administration

2. Oops. If true, that will end her candidacy.
If her support from white women drops at all, it's over.

Actually it's already over, except for her nuking the Democratic Party and taking it down with her.

14. sheeeit. we dont need a woman to "drink" to show what a man she is
lol lol.... that is horrible. a male wouldnt be downing shots running. but she is downing shots to show she is a real man. wtf. i havent been in this room in forever, so this might have been covered. my first.

being a woman, i dont want media to use her gender against her, as advantage or disadvantage, but.... i also dont like seeing her behave in a way thinking she has to prove she is manly to win.

weird group of pictures. hm

as i say, i stepped out of here for a while

15. I think this was last night in Indiana
here's a thread about it:

The saddest part is when the restaurant owner tells a grandfather to take his grandkids out of the room... it just doesn't get any sleazier than that!

18. Can't help but wonder how much of that she does
maybe that's why she embellishes her stories..under the influence. I watched the video and she sure looks/acts tanked when she tells the guy in the Dad shirt that she's not driving, they would never let her drive.

IMO,it's not appropriate behavior for someone interviewing for the job of President. I could see her sipping on a beer, but the shot/beer/behavior displayed is a bit much.

11. As does "I just don't feel she's one of us"
Pennsylvanians are starting to wake up. Why is it that Hillary only goes down in the polls when she starts campaigning in a state?
