Electoral College survey averages |
|
I thought this might be of interest to you. I took an average of various sites that were showing state-by-state electoral counts: Kerry-260, Bush-278 http://www.oneamericacommittee.com/map / Kerry-258, Bush-249 http://2.004k.com / Kerry-284, Bush-254 http://www.uselectionatlas.org/USPRESIDENT/GENERAL/CAMPAIGN/2004/pred04.phpKerry-221, Bush-222 http://home.comcast.net/~gerrydal / Kerry-285, Bush-249 http://www.electoral-vote.com / Average: Kerry - 261.6, Bush - 250.4 with 270 needed to win

Several of these counts don't add up to 538 -- what gives?
You don't mention the ABC Note totals given in this forum (Bush 254/Kerry 217) or www.electionprojection.com numbers (Kerry 316/Bush 222). ABC's numbers don't add up to 538, either. If you add those two to your numbers, the average is Kerry 263, Bush 246.9 (if my quick math is correct).

I think the first link gives you a map with the Gore-Bush numbers of 2000; you can click on the states to figure out how your predictions would add up.
