5. I'm sure woof-woof has no inside info... |
|
But that definitely sounds like he's being 1.) taken seriously by the media and 2.) going to get some good ol'fashioned NAME RECOGNITION, which I keep hearing is one of the other contendors biggest assets to the campaign.

6. I dunno about the name recognition |
|
Oh, any TV time is good. But let's face it. Most people who watch CNN already know who Clark is. There is probably a significant minority who couldn't put the name with the face if "General" isn't put it front of it.
For a while there, Kerry seemed to be putting Clark on Fox news a lot, trying to target a different audience. Lots of swing voters watch Fox--the ones who've bought into the "liberal media" myth, I assume. Or maybe those who just like a more sensationalized presentation. Anyway, I predict we'll see Clark there soon, The campaign seems to seize a particular topic every other week or so and then put Clark on all of the big three to talk about it.

My husband calls himself a "Wes Clark hostage". I think the Kerry campaign is using Wes as an attack dog. As far as V.P. goes, probably Edwards.

and after hearing him speak at the JJ Dinner in Broward County last weekend, I can guess why... let's just say, his "Two Americas" speech is getting T-I-R-E-D. He was kind to the crowd afterward, I'll give him that, but his speech was anything but new, fresh, interesting or energizing.

 But after putting my thinking cap on...I think that was a roue (sp)...they are trying their damnnist to keep it a secret and fox the media! I would love to see Edwards react to that question. I wonder what he'd say! "Yeah, yeah, I want to be VP! Please, please pick me!

|
He said he's never been interested in the job of VP. He's in the private sector now and enjoying it. He refused to say whether he would be meeting with Kerry in the next few days.:cry::cry::cry:

12. Interesting choice of words |
|
He refused to discuss any meeting or any of Kerry's vetting process. Says it's confidential and he won't discuss it.
He said he was going back into the private sector. (But he didn't say he wouldn't come out...)
I think it's going to be Edwards, even though I'd rather have Clark since he is so knowledgeable of foreign policy. We shall see.
Good interview. It's always good to see Clark on TV. His answer about Saddam/Al Qaida was excellent.

Good grief, he says this all the time. It was the same canary grin as he says it...and we know why he says it. NO ONE in contention is going to answer that question in the affirmative.
Remember when they were asking him if he would run for President? What would he say? "I'm not considering that".
SMILE, the grin is quite telling--and we already know he will take it and is the most serious contender.

19. My cable went out just as he came on!! |
|
He looked rather wan in that light colored suit...needs to keep that steely gray hair against navy, dark charcoal..the winter colors.
He also sounded rather wan on the hostage question...and that's when my cable went out, just as he started, so I don't know how he sounded at the end.
As for the VP stuff and the private sector...he's been going back to the private sector since Feb. LOL...He said he would be working very hard for the campaign in June...let's see he spent two days in the Ukraine and Romania, then buzzed over to Marrakesh for the Int'. Chamber of Commerce meeting where he was in a roundtable (representing Wesley K. Clark Assoc) with the Trade Commissioner of the EU (Lamy) and all these high level business leaders on June 9...I'm sure WKC Assoc. was a cover for this chance to hobnob with this crowd..WKC Assoc. is small potatoes by comparison. His prior credentials was what got him there...
