What the heck is going on in Fla.? New poll has Bush ahead by 7 |
|
Edited on Wed Jun-16-04 09:34 AM by lancdem
I saw that on http://www.dcpoliticalreport.com and was pretty bummed out, since earlier polls showed the race basically even. I hope this is just due to a post-Reagan bounce (it was done June 12-14) and will soon dissipate. :(

8. Probably, but I don't hold out much hope for FL. |
|
Sorry DU Floridians, but the Jeb machine just seems too fine oiled. From BBVs, to voter purges, to 'no recounts necessary' I am very pessimistic about that state. Kerry just has to work around FL, imho. I honestly believe he has a better chance in TX, although not by much.

3. Remember who is in charge of counting the votes in Florida |
|
It could be worse this time because the Florida Secretary of State is now a gubernatorial appointee, and is no longer independently elected.

10,000 "invited" guests to McDill, but no further public appearances or fund raising lunches since you the taxpayer is paying about a half million for this trip.
Damn, cannot get a good thunderstorm when you need it.
This speach is being sent by satalite to Afghanastan & Iraq. Lots of Guard from Florida in Iraq.

7. That's why Bob Graham is the best VP choice. He would really |
|
help a lot in Fla plus he's "cuddlier" than the "stand-off-ish" Kerry.

9. Is Graham popular in his home state? |
|
I mean, could he really reel it in? (Reminder: Gore couldn't bring in Tennessee; Edwards wouldn't do well in N.C.)

10. FL is a slightly Republican state |
|
The Governor and all of the state-wide elected exuctive officals are Repoublicans. And both houses of the legislature have Republican majorities.
