Eugene Debs and Barack Obama: Conspiracy theory |
|
Edited on Thu Apr-17-08 06:36 PM by Onlooker
Eugene Debs (~1916), Upton Sinclair (~1930s), and other progressive politicians faced the machine in the past and lost. Debs ran for president from jail, and Sinclair would have been governor of California if it wasn't for the banking industry bankrolling his opponent.
At last night's debate, the questions were so biased, it struck me that someone very powerful was really trying to derail his campaign. There was something truly corrupt about that debate. If there is something bigger going on, it doesn't bode well for Obama's chances unless there is a reasonable way for us to be vigilant.

It does appear that there's a movement afoot to derail Obama.Much like what happened to Dean in 03.
A friend said recently that, he thought the establishment was caught off guard by the fact that it looked like people really would vote for him.
I think it may be too late, but you never know, there are some very powerful forces among us. :evilfrown:

5. "The riches of the few (e.g. Obamas and Clintons) are |

the savings of the many." - -Debs
Bear it in mind. Where are the candidates with few financial resources? Where? Is it even possible any more?
