"Why didn't Obama rip Hillary apart?? Is he weak?!?!?" |
|
Edited on Thu Apr-17-08 08:48 PM by GarbagemanLB
No. He's smart. He's ahead, and he will likely be the nominee. He doesn't want to alienate Hillary's devoted base too much, so he is not pushing bullshit stories like Bosnia, like he could (could you imagine an Obama ad ripping Hillary apart for that lie? It is too easy).
Like he said earlier today in NC, he is restraining himself, because she is a fellow Democrat and he knows it only further weakens the party if he goes on an all out attack.
And for you Hillary supporters, let me ask you this: Say the 5% chance Hillary becomes the nominee actually comes to pass. Do you really think harping consistently on this 'bitter' gaffe, her leaping onto the ABC host's attacks on Wright, Ayers, bitter, etc. are beneficial in healing the wounds? She is giving more and more excuses to Obama's devoted followers to NOT support her if she becomes the nominee.
THAT is why the polls are going down for her and THAT is why people are booing her for this 'bitter' bullshit. It is ONLY detrimental to the party.
Thankfully, Dean sees this and came out today to request that SDs start voicing their choices starting now. This needs to have an endpoint in the near future.

It exposes a serious credibility issue on her part. She, for the first time, has now admitted to saying things she knew weren't true! That's a fucking problem missy. An untruthful Clinton has already caused enough damage to the Democratic party in the past. What will she be untruthful about next?

I support Obama but just because he has not jumped on the Bosnia bandwagon does not mean he is unwilling to respond. The Weatherman pardons show he is not afraid to get into the gutter.

It's too bad she will most likely not be the nominee. A true lost opportunity to elect the most competent candidate.
Suggestion - urge Obama to hire Hillary so he can learn how to do it.

Hillary needs 65% in all the remaining contests to win, which is not possible.
And it's ironic that the onus is on Obama when he was the newcomer who took on one of the most powerful Dems in the country -- the question shoud be, why can't Hillary win?

There's a whole lot of lame excuses that are just a cover up for racism. Every time I read someone's comment about how arrogant Obama was I figured that was their whitewashed way to say he was uppity. Same with elitist.

|
He's got class. This is the way candidates are supposed to act. Just because one party chooses the gutter as their habitat doesn't mean that democrats have to, as well. Once he's officially the nominee, I hope that Hillary's supporters remember the many occasions where Barack could have attacked and chose not to do so. He's been extending the olive branch all along to her supporters.
