He went on national television and declared grizzly bears to be the number one threat to America. He obviously believes that grizzly bears are a bigger threat than Muslims, people who don’t wear flag pins and San Francisco. Not only did he get it all wrong about the threats we face, but he played the race card by singling out grizzly bears and not mentioning the ubiquitous black bear. Hannity and George Stepinapilapoop will be all over this tomorrow. Grizzly-gate will be the lead story until next Tuesday. Hillary Clinton will no doubt appear on the Sunday talk shows expressing her natural outrage at her rival’s unsuitability to be commander-in-chief because he is afraid of bears. She will recount how she was attacked by bears in Bosnia and never flinched. This story is important because we all know what bears do in the woods.
