I wasn't an Obama supporter or a Hillary supporter |
|
Edited on Fri Apr-18-08 07:26 PM by againes654
I am one of the crazy Kucinich supporters, or at least I was as long as he was in the race. After Kucinich dropped out, I kind of just waited to see how everything would play out. When I came down to Hillary or Obama, I picked Obama.
It really came down to one thing for me; IMO, Hillary is more corporate, and that is what is driving this country into ruins, corporations. They are both democrats, so I will vote for either one, but I prefer the candidate that owes less to lobbyists and corporations, because there will be a pay-day for all of those donations. Hillary will owe companies, and Obama will owe the people.
It seems like a simple choice to me. GOBAMA!!!

You made the right choice. Obama wasn't my first choice either, I was for Edwards but now I really really like Obama and am happy to support him.

if you throw in a shot of hope and change, I will take several glasses. I've been hearing about this Kool-Aid that I have supposedly been drinking, but I don't drink much Kool-Aid, so I was a little confused. Thanks for the clarification.

This has been my internet handle for many years, and I joined DU over a year ago. It's coincidental that it works so well now.
Bottoms up

CUNY Professor Frances Fox Piven on a recent Democracy Now!: You know, in 1932, FDR didn’t run with a good program; he ran with the same program the Democrats had run with in 1924 and 1928, and that wasn’t a good program. But nevertheless, his rhetoric encouraged people who were suffering as a result of the Depression—working people, the unemployed—and helped to fuel the movements, which then forced FDR to support initiatives which he otherwise would not have supported, including the right to organize...http://www.democracynow.org/2008/2/6/super_tuesday_roundtable_with_bill_fletcher:toast: NGU.

That's the same route I came to Obama by. I think it is a well-worn path.

13. Pretty much my journey |

One of the .sigs I've seen here sez "100% behind Dennis Kucinich--OK--90% behind John Edwards--um--80% behind Barack Obama." That pretty much nails it for me.
