funny thing, I was trying to explain to my teenage daughter that Alec Baldwin and James Spader used to be breathtakingly beautiful men, and she just rolled her eyes.

During that election, I remember seeing a magazine cover (Time or Newsweek if I remember correctly) with their faces and a "Tom and Huck" caption. I don't remember the article, though.
If I were to speculate, maybe Bill Clinton was Huck Finn leading Tom Sawyer into a liberal den of iniquity.
