OMG Would you people freaking WAKE UP?????????????
I mean really! We have possibly the BEST DAMN CANDIDATE EVER and you are like trying to bury him or burn him at the stake! Damn you are really pissing me off with your freaking comments to DOWNGRADE HIM! When are you going to wake up and quit drinking the right wing republican freaking kool aid? How DARE YOU SAY YOU WON'T VOTE IN THE GE IF OBAMA IS THE NOMINEE? HOW DARE YOU? Do you really want to see ALL OF US SENT TO FIGHT A FREAKING WAR FOR CORPORATE GREED? Do you really want America to be a third world country? Do you really want to see people dying of starvation in our streets? Do you really want to see MORE people dying because of a lack of health care? Do you really freaking think we can survive another four years of the rich becoming richer while the middle class becomes poorer? Do you really?????

If you freaking do, then get out of our house here at DU right now!

17. Why do you people keep saying savior and messiah and anointed one
Obama supporters never ever say that. They are enthusiastic, but they never say he will solve all the problems. Is this just a replaying of the "cult" meme?

Liking your candidate better is one thing, but implying that the people who like the other candidate are nuts is just -- nuts. Just as nuts as it would be for Obama supporters to say Clinton is Satanic, the anti-Christ.

if we ever get a Tribune to champion our interest in the top elective office on earth, THAT PERSON must survive in the murky waters that destroy men so easy, makes a honest hero like Kerry a faker, and promote a gibbering 1/2 wit like whatsisname...to the top office, then you get a glimpse of the unnnatural gauntlet THAT PERSON has to run just to get...here! Obama's the only dude able to be US president and achieve anything like what we hope for. And that opinion is based upon his ability to survive among the most vicious hyenas (russert, limbah-humbug, woof, brite, matt lier and the plague of host others) known to civilised man.
btw, so low has my love of my society fallen, so down, that i win even if the repukes steal '08, or the people divide their vote enough to seat old man insane. they (we) deserve to suffer, and suffer we will, but under Mr Obama the pain has a purpose, while otherwise the pain is the purpose :))

For the record - I am sure someone will dig through the archives to find it - I did make a similar statement about Hillary, but rectified it by an opening post with an admission that I would vote for the nominee regardless. Problem is, I believe these folks here tonight are serious. I cannot believe they would do that and furthermore, if they want to support McSame, this isn't the forum for it.

Go research who began the extraordinary renditions.

Iraq war, go read about the no-fly zones and their legality, then read about the Iraqi Liberation Act

After taking those things into consideration it appears that one candidate has more in common with the past and more to protect than the other.

We are BOTH for impeachment you and I...this is as close as I have seen by either candidate. It is better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick but I would like more, MUCH MUCH MORE not less. Speaking of less, I am STILL waiting for ANYTHING by a Clinton supporter regarding their candidate's views on accountability. Is she interested in holding anyone from the bfee accountable or will she pull out the Big Dog Pardon Book and add a bunch more names to it?

I want change. Most Americans do. Hillary won't provide it. Doesn't claim to want to. She wants to go back to the 90s. And President Clinton will continue to make a killing off of his Wife in Chief's policies which he began with NAFTA and protected with the Telecommunications Act of 1996 which basically demolished independent voices in the media.

That's the problem with this place. You can write posts saying you won't vote for the Democratic nominee, but can't even point out that the people pushing that line are mostly trolls. This is why the place has been over-run with them.

about a national election is so juvenile. ( I have my flame suit on) DU has been infiltrated by mainstream media meaningless bites, while the war rages on, people are losing their homes, and meanwhile the left is not even prepared to deal with the election being stolen. These are the very distracting techniques that have put the country to sleep. Not everyone is asleep, thank the gods.

52. I'll dare anything I want, thanks, and screaming at me won't change that.
1. From my perspective, Obama and HRC are the two WORST possible choices out of the field of eight we started with. So bad that I cannot support either of them.

2. Obama is NOT "the best damn candidate ever." He's not even close.

3. Obama IS a centrist/corporatist/3rd way/"new" dem; at least, if platform and rhetoric count, he is. He is not anti-war, and has not been "anti-dumb" war since he got to the senate. Either that, or he decided that perhaps Iraq wasn't so "dumb" after all. He wouldn't fund a "dumb" war repeatedly, would he? Obama has stated his intent to pursue the bogus "war on terror." Americans will still be fighting and dying under an Obama administration.

4. I don't see Obama doing anything to address poverty or inequality in the U.S.; he will continue NAFTA, to start with. His health care plan is inadequate, and will not "cover" everyone.

5. "Our house?" I believe my status as a DUer is just as valid as yours, thanks. DU is not "Obama underground," lol.

6. In case you experience the inevitable knee-jerk reaction, I don't think any better of HRC. Criticism of her is fine, but it doesn't detract from my perspective on Obama, and on the rabid rant you posted.
