Seriously?

Rank the following four people on who would make the best leader of the Free World: Obama, Clinton, McCain, Bush.

Everybody on DU should either have:

1. Obama
2. Clinton
3. McCain
4. Bush

or

1. Clinton
2. Obama
3. McCain
4. Bush

The poutrage of Clinton and her supporters is beyond comical any more.

It's not a verbal "faux pas" to state that, among the three people running for office, the Republic is third-best and all three are better than the asshole we have now.

Seriously.... are there ANY Clinton supporters that think that Bush is better than ANY of Obama, Clinton, and McCain? Because to argue against Obama's statement is to argue that Bush is better than McCain.

Are you going to argue that Bush is better than McCain? That Bush is better than anybody?

Please... Hillary... do that.

Pol Pot would make a better leader than Bush. Sheesh.

1. It wasn't the sharpest thing for Obama to say
but Hillary has praised McQeeg far more than Obama ever has, so she's in no position to criticize.

3. Why? Should he have said that McCain is WORSE than Bush? Seriously?

Retarded. The whole thing is retarded.

4. PLease remember that Hillary said a month ago that McCain
would be a more experienced president than Obama.

It's a given that anyone would be better than * but the Democratic candidates should refrain from even appearing to give any support to McCain.

7. The fact that Obama is willing to say stuff like this is a big part of the reason I support him.
The basic idea of Obama's "new politics" is that we have to stop bullshitting for short-term advantage. If we don't, partisan bickering will never end. Politicians have to be willing to say what's on their minds; they have to be willing to level with people. If they just regurgitate talking points and calibrate every statement for its political impact, we're just going to be stuck in the same rut we've been in for 20 years.

McCain would be better than Bush. (Hell, just about anybody would be.) Kudos to Obama for being willing to say it.

8. Hillary supporters can't get pushed out of place with this one....
cause I believe that many of them are saying that they would vote for McCain over Obama anyways.

And Hillary said that McCain was MORE ready than OBama to be CIC.

So is there supposed to be a controversy there? It is after all the truth. My ass would be a better President than McCain.

It's the low bar that Hillary set coming home to roost.

12. I hope that
some of those who are upset about this, are NOT also willing to vote FOR a person that's as bad as, or worse than bush, rather than not vote at all or vote for obama

9. bush can't be THE worst, if there's someone else as bad or worse than him
Edited on Sun Apr-20-08 09:45 PM by 4themind
, it MIGHT be McCain, but we don't know as he hasn't governed yet. As to what we can expect, well one difference is Mccain-Feingold (yes OUR feingold) and if he's genuine on his position on global warming(at least to the level that gore's spokesperson suggested recently) he won't be EXACTLY the same as bush has demonstrated thus far ,but make no mistake he's plenty bad enough for me not to want forover Hillary or Obama in my view. My question for the hillary supporters is can you say the same (saying that Obama would still be better than McCain assuming he's as bad as bush)

10. McCain will be better than Bush
Yes he is an idiot but he has been through ALOT of shit in his life. His plane was the one that ate the rocket during the Carrier accident and he was nearly killed.

He was a POW

And while he is a flip flopping idiot. He has spent time fighting the republicans on various issues. He is kissing their ass now for their votes.

So yes even tho it is only slight. McCain would be a better president. Because he has seen head on what a bullshit war means. Atleast he can feel someone what he will send troops into.

Credit is due where credit is due. Compared to AWOL Bush. McCain would be a better president.

13. With all due respect to our next President, this is my version
1) Obama for real CHANGE.

2) Years 29-32 of the BushClinton destruction of this country through either Hillary or McCain.

Not really much of a question which direction we need to go, is there?
