Sorry Hillary, but you're going to have to do better than that.

Sorry Hillary, but you're going to have to do better than that.
I just ran over to the Slate Delegate Calculator at http://www.slate.com/id/2185278 to see how tonight's victory affected the pledged delegate count.

To catch up in pledged delegates, Hillary needs to win by a 38 point margin (69%/31%) or higher in all remaining contests.

Of course that doesn't include Florida and Michigan. If Florida and Michigan are seated giving Hillary delegates proportional to the results of those highly flawed primaries (FL 50%, MI 55%), Hillary will then only need to win the remaining contests by...

...a 34 point or greater margin (67%/33%).

10 point victories just aren't going to cut it. She could win every remaining contest by 10 points, get Florida and Michigan seated as is, and still end up 98 pledged delegates behind.

Sorry, but that looks bleak.

1. Hillary supporters simply will not acknowledge this
This is evidenced by their gloating over their meager 8-pt win, despite the fact she was up by 20 points just a few weeks ago. They're acting as if this is somehow the knockout blow they were looking for.

2. I did a rather generous experiment with it
I gave her double digit wins in Indiana, Kentucky and West Virginia. Gave Obama big wins in N. Carolina, Oregon and the last three. This would still put her 500 points below the 2024 threshold, and almost 200 behind Obama. And she isn't adding that many SDs to make up the deficit.

In other words, she can't win. And there's no way Michigan will be seated as is, particularly since Obama wasn't even on the ballot. Not likely for Florida either.

3. 10 Points and Superdelegates
It ain't over, and the flawed candidate has sucked in the big states.
He gaffed during the debate when asked his first real questions.
It sucks when our candidates are vetted so damn late.
It's why we keep losing general elections.
We can't have a whiner in the WH, and Obama when confronted showed he is a Whiner 1st Class.
He doesn't have a hope.

So, Super Delegates for Hillary.

9. Phew. Is this the best Obama supporters can come up with?
That and whining?
Look, Obama got free passes to get where he did.
Like the BET founder said, and Ferraro... if he were white he wouldn't be where he is.
If we knew his history in IA or NH he's have been toast long ago.
Watching with Biden and Dodd.

6. You can't be serious.
Here, point by point:

It ain't over, and the flawed candidate has sucked in the big states.

Because McCain's going to win in NY and CA? Because Hillary will win TX? For the millionth damn time, primaries are not general elections.

He gaffed during the debate when asked his first real questions.

Flag pins and guilt-by-association are real questions?

It sucks when our candidates are vetted so damn late.

Hillary's been vetted! That's all you've got since her "experience" turned out to be bullshit? You think republicans don't have new dirt they're sitting on? Of course they do! Here's a couple: snipers in Bosnia, talking up McCain, threatening to nuke Iran. Then there's the shit they've dug up that we don't know about. See, it isn't in the republican's interest to play their hand yet. They would do better to play it in the general election. Obviously. Have you noticed how eager they seem to run against her? The reason we're seeing dirt on Obama now is because Hillary is the one slinging it. She's campaigning like a republican. She's probably doing us a favor by getting it out early.

It's why we keep losing general elections.

The reason we keep losing elections is because we keep running candidates that couldn't inspire a dog to piss on a tree. We've finally got a chance to run a good, winning, inspirational leader of a candidate and you're trying to prevent us from doing it! You want to run the republicans' mortal enemy against them! Hey, that's smart! Let's galvanize their base (who with McCain as a candidate, is really ungalvanized at the moment)!

We can't have a whiner in the WH, and Obama when confronted showed he is a Whiner 1st Class.

Apparently you've got the memory of the guy in Memento. Remember all that shit about how the media was so in love with Obama? Remember when she brought up the SNL sketch? And then went on SNL the next week for yet another "the media loves Obama" sketch? But Obama says "it took 45 minutes to get to a real question" and all of a sudden look who's screaming "Whiner! Whiner! Whiner!" Give. Me. A. Fucking. Break.

He doesn't have a hope.

No. Hillary has no hope. See the OP.

So, Super Delegates for Hillary.

Oh, yes. There's your hope. The hope that democratic insiders will overturn the will of the voters. Better, that they will overturn the nomination of the first black man to ever earn a party's nomination. Yeah, they'll do that. I mean, how could they not?

8. Ugh. Good Try
Primaries are not generals but the stage has been set.
mcCain only has to run Hillary's ads and then follow up with... "I'm John McCain and I approve of this message".

Guilt by association?
No
Guilt by forging long term relationships.
He chose Wright and listened to his BS for 20-years.
His association with Ayers isn't too distant.
Rezko?

Them's some big bags.
And then he whines when he's challenged.
His post debate 45-min drivel was just that.

And the swing voters notice this toxic stuff.

10. What Super Delegates? Why wouldn't they have already come out for her?
Why are they waiting?
