Hillary Clinton raised $ 10 million dollars in one day - so she can't use that excuse anymore
of course it was "McAuliffe on MSNBC...." so we have no link.

She certainly will be able to raise $ 40-60 million for the whole month.

So now if she loses any future primaries in any state it has nothing to do with being outspent. Right?

Now that the last of the Clinton excuses has been swept away what will her excuse be in the future?

1. if that is true..

do you think she will pay off all of her debt first or stay in debt and spend the 10 million on the upcoming campaigns? I think she should pay off the debt first, or at least make a reasonable dent in it.

4. I agree.
The money should help out those people that trusted her, and who need that money so they don't lose their business. NOT to pay them would show just how little she really cares about the people she "claims" she will be standing up for.

8. Well I wonder if the first debt is the $ 5 million she owes herself?

12. that would be horrible if she paid herself back before...
paying back all the money she owes the people helping in her campaign.

Someone told me that her $5 million dollar loan isn't even included in her $10 million debt, so thats 15 million total i guess.

2. I wish her luck. She'll need it.
I'm hoping she'll raise enough money to pay off all her debts. Those schools and auditoriums shouldn't have to wait months to get paid for their services. Her people need health care coverage, too.

3. I find that a VERY dubious claim.
I don't doubt they had an influx of donations overnight, but I'm not buying the $10 million number.

5. I do too - but here is the delight - their lies have eliminated their excuse lol
It also is such a large number that some people will say I don't have to give now.

It really is stupid on a number of levels.

6. i don't know... my Republican co-worker just donated to Hillary...
his words--- "I would like to watch the democrats bleed a little more." But i highly doubt that she made 10 million in a day-- she may have raised her "cash on hand" total to 10 million, which would then put her even with her debt.

10. did she use that 10 million to pay off her debts?

She should pay her debts, those folks need to be paid, hard economic times do not allow for generous spirits especially when it comes to an individual with over $100 million.

13. i agree...
she should not spend any "new" money until she pays her "old" bills... get back to even then show the american people how she can "pay as you go"--- I have been wondering-- how can she fix our economy and handle our massive debt when she cant even control her campaigns financial situation.

11. Stop saying that!
She did not raise $10 million dollars in one day.

The closest thing I could find to an actual quote is this:

"On MSNBC just now, top Hillary adviser Terry McAuliffe claimed that by the end of today, the Hillary campaign will have raised $10 million since she was declared winner yesterday."

http://tpmelectioncentral.talkingpointsmemo.com/2008/04/hillary_on_track_to_raise_10_m.php

'By the end of the day today...'

'...will have raised...'

Two very important qualifiers.

I understand your point, Grant, but I've been calling Clinton supporters on this number all day. This '$10 million in one day' meme will serve to let Clinton claim a credibility she simply does not possess nor deserve.

We should stop it in its tracks, IMO.

14. It used to bother me when she'd be all "go to my website" during debates, but after PA, I finally
realize she's just doing her thing. I respect that.
